What do you do when you just have to get out?

I am bored out of my mind and really don't want to stay home today. Thinking of going to a movie but if i wait until tommorow it will be about $3 cheaper. Can't think of anything else to do. Kind of want to take the train downtown but then again the fair will be much cheaper on weekdays and i'm going down there tuesday anyway. So what do you do? Just drive around aimlessly looking for something to do?

Go play a game, go find a project/hobby to work on or build something. Go clean up shit, there is always cleaning to be done.
When you gotta get out, call up a friend and see what they are doing. I like to go shoot my guns when I'm bored. |

Go work out. If you're not a member of a gym, then find a park and jog for an hour or three.

I usually hit up my friends and see what they're doing. Or I go look for stuff to sell on eBay.

I live next to a park, so a walk/run/bike ride is always nice. Getting really lost and trying to find your way back is lots of fun.

i never found anything. in HS my friends would do stuff like go bowling and of course I'd always join in but personally I don't have that type of activity. I have to be by myself to get that restless and I haven't been by myself since I had a girlfriend. After we broke up that was mostly just depression and before.. I never really got restless. Sometimes we'd go to movies.
Getting lost is tons of fun. I never really lose track of where home is relative to me but I'll seize any opportunity to try to get my current location mixed up. |

Haha, this is what I did once. My brother was heading back to college at around 9am and I tagged along. I told him to drop me off at some random city along the way. I had $10 and the whole day ahead of me. I arrived at my house around 6pm. It was fun trying to get back home. I walked at least 20 miles that day.

What if you don't have any friends? Sometimes I'm a little bored and just want some real human interaction...I just don't like going to clubs and stuff.

@muffin1man, sounds exactly like me; however, you don't live anywhere near close to my area.
If I want to just get out, I just go to some mall or stores nearby and look around. Sometimes I'll ride my bike (live near mountain biking trails). If the weather is right and I have the money, will drive to the resort and snowboard. |

I'd be in that boat muffin1man. I can only think of finding a nerdy organization and drop in like my local gaming bar (http://www.battleandbrew.com/) has some specials like rock band night or FPS competitions (but i guess those work better with friends) or I guess go play some laser tag.
