All right, I decided to go ahead and post my March pick-ups. Lets just say the month started off really slow, but then exploded. I will admit I did purchase more stuff than normal due to Target clearance and stuff. I also bought more PSN cards than usual because of the awesome Square Enix PSN releases (mostly being PS1 games).

I started the month with Phantom Brave and Sengoku Basara: Samurai Kings complete season. I like Phantom Brave and was meaning to buy it on Wii, but decided to wait on the PSP version after hearing it comes stateside. Also, I enjoyed what I saw when previewing the first episode of Sengoku Basara (and I love the video game series), so I bought it.

I bought a slim PS2, mostly because I never had a PS2 slim, and I wanted a back-up in case my 2003 fat PS2 no longer lasts. I got it for $70 at Target clearance.

I went snowboarding on the last weekend the resort was open. There's my ticket, along with a Burton hoodie I got at Libery Mountain Resort on sale (really nice too).

It sucks I didn't get the game until the day after it released (NIS America's shipping took time to send it out), I am very glad I got it with the calendar. The calendar has nice images of Ar Tonelico girls. The game is just fantastic, where it's great for Ar Tonelico (and many RPG) fans. I've put almost 10 hours into it so far, but I'm hooked with its storyline, characters, and even enjoy some of the soundtrack. Graphics are good too.

Both of these games I have yet to open/play. I do love Yakuza 3 a lot, so I absolutely had to buy 4 (I'll play it later). Radiant Historia, I was motivated to buy it after seeing it become hard to find quickly. Since I like traditional RPGs, seems like the game for me.

A random buy, bought new bathroom rugs/towels in a different color to change my bathroom around (at Bed Bath & Beyond).

I found various anime/video game wall scrolls when I was in some random mall around my state. Once I saw this Zack wall scroll, I had to buy it even if I would have a hard time fitting another on my wall.

I re-bought Growlanser: Generations and Ultimate Ghost'n Goblins since I kind of regret trading them in. UGnG is beyond hard, but the game was a classic. I didn't know I'd get a favorites version, but looks way better than GH for sure.

I did buy Dissidia 012 Prologue, and oh course I bought the UMD full version too. I was late to playing my copy of the original Dissidia, but fell in love with it. I'm enjoying this Dissidia a lot too, but I'll admit I'm finding RPG mode more comforting than action mode (I was the opposite with the last Dissidia game). It's pretty much dominating my PSP play time right now. Okami was a game I loved on PS2, but never beat it (no longer own it). I really want to beat it sometime, so I bought it on Wii cheap. I may eventually buy Okamaiden.

I ended up getting Dragon Quest V from a very good CAG friend of mine (thanks Cheska), after GameStop screwed me. Also got a 750GB HDD for my PS3, which I upgraded to last weekend (blogged about the story).

One day I went crazy with Amazon orders, ordering a new DVD/CD rack (I'm out of space). Mega Man X7 was bought used on Amazon (wish I never got rid of it, I enjoyed it despite what most thought). Third Birthday has been one of my most anticipated PSP games for a while, but right now Dissidia is stopping me from playing anything else. Dynasty Warriors 7 was purchased since I'm a pretty big DW fan. Evangelion 2.22 I've been wanting since I really like Evangelion and bought Evangelion 1.11 last month.

Yes, I bought a 3DS out of no where. I honestly did not expect I'd be buying one, but the hype got me. Lets just say on release, I saw it was in-stock on Amazon. Since there was a $25 credit now, I decided to go ahead and buy now since I probably won't ever get a better deal. Also, since I heard about supplies drying up after the initial shipments, that made me buy sooner than later. I'm liking the 3DS so far. Glad I can see my friends online and what they are playing. The 3D capabilities, I'm getting use to it. Once my eyes got adjusted, I could see the 3D. The middle setting seems to work best for me. After I play the 3DS, my eyes do feel a bit weird after I play.

So I ended up getting 4 games. Two I purchased on Amazon together for $45 after my $25 credit and $10 off buying 2 3DS games went through. Ridge Racer 3D is fun (even if I am not liking its 3D effects much right now). The other games I still need to play, but I only had my 3DS open for 2 days. I just got Tom Clancy: Shadow Wars and Samurai Warriors Chronicle at Toy's R Us during their 3DS B1G1 half off sale.

Samurai Warriors 3, I would rather have it on PS3, but doubt it comes stateside. I was eying it on sale at Target. I figured I'd see it for $15-$20 (most stores were still $25-$35), but saw it for $12.48 today. I instantly bought on impulse.

So if anyone wonders what I used all those PSN cards on, there were on the games:
-Dissidia 012 Prologus (I was buying it since I'm a Dissidia fanboy...played it a lot)
-Final Fantasy VII (now that I got more HDD space, I had to finally buy my favorite game ever)
-Hard Cops Uprising (I love Contra/Guilty Gear, so it was a buy for me without trying the demo. It's HARD).
-Legend of Mana (wanted to buy it for a while)
-Mega Man 3 (my favorite NES Mega Man game for $3, had to buy_
-Moon Driver (reminded me of Strider and beat em ups, so I had to buy it)
-Parasite Eve (use to hate the game, now I love it)
-Vagrant Story (always wanted to re-buy it)

When it comes to anime watching, I finished Evangelion Platinum Collection. First time I saw all episodes, but it's definitely one of my top ten favorite anime of all time. I really liked Shinji and enjoyed the storyline. I also watched Lucky Star Collection. The art is pretty, but the anime wasn't really for me (still funny at times). Currently working on watching all episodes of Gundam Wing. I definitely enjoy it, even if it was a long time ago since I last watched it.

If anyone wants my 3DS friend code (or wants to share me theirs), post in the comments and I'll give it to you. I got around 8 friends so far.

That's it for my March pick-ups. I expect few games in April, but lots of anime blu-rays.

Great pickups. I also have to play Okami at some time, but I hope the Wii version is as good as (or better than) the PS2. It's also good to see you pick up the Nintendo 3DS. Hopefully some good JRPGs come out and the system can pull you at least a little bit away from the PSP or NGP

As for anime, I will have to watch Evangelion from your glowing recommendations here and on Twitter. It will have to wait a bit though because I'm powering through Bleach (currently on episode 64 out of 316).

@RchrdJ, NOTHING will pull be away from buying the most expensive NGP SKU at launch. My trophy addiction will keep me on it all day, but I still was going to get a 3DS regardless (I buy everything).

I have no interest in the 3DS yet, not until there are games I want for it.
just went to a local target and the only thing of note on CLX was the 20 or so PS2 slims at 49.99.....

Probably going to go back and pick one up since my old launch fat cannot last for ever.

Sick pickups as usual, I plan to get Dissidia 012 soon and Evangelion 2.22 next week. As for the 3DS, I'm gonna have to agree with Matt on this, i would rather get my moneys worth on it for games i would spend time playing. As for anime, i own and seen both the Evangelion platinum collection and Lucky Star collection. Both great animes.

@RchrdJ - Evangelion is highly recommended, both the original series and 2 movies. As for Bleach, the first 63 episodes are the best, Episodes 64-316 (beware of the shitty filler episodes and arcs) with it going between manga and filler through episodes 64-316

@Chan69 and @MattJ1991 Like I sort of said in my blog, the 3DS did not have much I wanted right now, but I was eventually going to get one sometime between now and Christmas. Since I could get an Amazon deal now, and I REALLY doubt there will be any pricecut this year or another Amazon deal, I might as well just get it now. I could have seen myself upset where if I wanted to buy one (later in the year), having issues either finding one or getting one with a giftcard. I pretty much bought for the future, just like I did with my PS3. I can make $250 easily by working the weekend.

Haha. Just picked up a Clearance PS2 from Target for the same price a few days ago. Also picked up Radiant Historia, The 3rd Birthday, and Dissidia 2 as well.

I have also been looking for DQV, but all of the copies I have found have been too expensive for my blood. Maybe I will get lucky eventually.

Also, I assume the Cheska you received DQV from was the same from Playstation Tester 2? Just another reason she is awesome if so. I was so torn between her and Gaymer winning the final episode. I am just glad one of them won

It seems that someone has way too much free time on their hands
had this been someone's pickup blog, I would have thought it was an April Fools...

maybe you should start keeping a spending tab, at least for games and other entertainment. if not for the sake of budgeting, but for your readers to know you don't spend more than we think you do

Don't buy those CD/DVD racks, look at buying a solid bookshelf.

Those are some nice pickups, I enjoy my 3DS as well and I purchased three of the games that you got (Street Fighter, Samurai Warriors, and Ghost Recon). Samurai Warriors has been the game that I have been playing the most and I think its a great addition to the series. I also got DW7 but barely put any time into it although I am looking forward to trying out the online on it.

@ Gamer SDP, I might be able to, but it would be hard.

@WeaponX2099, Bookcases take up too much space. Plus, too many of them are hard to move, which is why I don't get them.

Did you like Legend of Mana? I played it on PS1 a long time ago and it had some interesting mechanics, but the total lack of story drove me crazy.
