Going to Toronto on a trip in May and was thinking it would be nice to have a smartphone to tell me where all the cool stuff was and give me directions. Any reccomendations?

I have a Droid X and completely love it... and it's awkward shape + size. The screen is so... pretty. Guess it really comes down to your preference between iPhone or Droid. I am not an Apple product fan, so Droid was my choice. Honestly, the good apps are generally supported by both systems anyway.
I use Verizon as well. Only 3G for me though. |

I went with the HTC Inspire. The bang for the buck ratio seemed the highest. cost me $70 including the upgrade fee from amazon wireless. att wanted $100 to do it directly from them. only signed up for 200mb data because i want to get an idea how much I use to see if it's worth upping it to 2gb. i'm around wifi most of time anyway

I got an LG Optimus V for $150, which is kind of expensive for the hardware, but the Virgin Mobile plan is only $25 a month ($26 after taxes, but no other fees) for 300 minutes, unlimited texts, and unlimited data. The phone doesn't compare to the higher end droid phones, but I really don't think most people pay close to $25 a month for their cell phone bill. There is only a monthly contract too, so if you end up not liking it, you could at least get out of the service, but still have a decent android device.
