So I found a pretty solid deal on Kinect last weekend and decided to bite. Went to TRU and took advantage of the B1G1 for 40 percent off to pick up Kinect Sports and Ea Sports Active 2. After owning Kinect for 5 days I am pleased with the purchase.
In my quest to get back in to shape I chose Ea Sports Active 2 so far the game does a pretty good job of getting me to sweat my ass off, started the 9 week work out program and hopefully I can keep with it. Kinect Adventures is a fun little tech demo that the wife and I enjoy but the true gem for us is Kinect Sports. I love the bowling on Kinect Sports she loves the volley ball and thats where we land. I have more than enough room for 2 people to play at a time so space isn't an issue here but if you don't have a large area i could see Kinect being a huge issue. If you were looking for a way to get your girl into gaming Kinect may be it. She has zero interest in games but can't quit playing the Kinect. Hopefully Microsoft does more with the system but for now I'll keep working out and bowling my ass off until they do. Ad me on RAPTR http://raptr.com/daddybojangles |

For workout game on Kinect I highly highly suggest Biggest Loser. We have it, EA Sports Active 2, and Your Shape. My wife works out A LOT and said Biggest Loser is by far the best of the three.
I just started doing it myself and it is beating my ass but can see see some results. |

Thanks for the tip I'll add it to my Gamefly Que. As far as working out gos, Ea Active on this 9 week program tells me to work out for 2 days and then rest a day. Is this sound advice? I was just going to go in and make a custom workout for today but am unsure if I should just follow the guidelines of the 9 week plan

Beats me, I have no clue what is good habits, lol. Biggest Loser lets you pick how many days you want to work out a week, then it schedules you. I picked 3, so I work out Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

It is sound advice to rest a day, but it really depends on the workouts and you. You'll be fine if you follow their plan exactly or if you supplement it with your own workouts.
A much bigger issue (for me, anyway) is how much flexibility you have in the days. I don't workout on Saturday or Sunday, for example. Hopefully it lets you adjust or choose to fit your schedule. |

Dance Central is fun. We have the Your Shape but I'm actually interested in the UFC trainer as well.
