LA Noire is flipping hard! |

I'm still pushing through the game and I actually like it so far. For people who are still left in the dark like I was before I played the game, here are some things to take note of:
This game does not have heavy shooting in it. There are some missions that will need you to gun down people but its really watered down, don't expect RDR fun or RE here, its more for certain situations. The only other game I can compare this to is like heavy rain except its not linear at all. You don't get a neat little map with all the clues and making mistakes effects your experience. You will get upset if you are a perfectionist as you will not get every question or section right which will effect your "Stats" or experience points. You really need to do some NON-Linear detective work. Trying to tell if people are lying, bluffing or telling the truth is REALLY HARD, Finding clues also are hard in the beginning because they don't really show up on your map. If you get a section wrong, thats it, no second chances to look for clues or ask the same question again. I like the difficulty but it sorta plays out like demon's souls; anything you get wrong is your own fault, not the games. It does give you a break though once in awhile letting you recover and finish the case but its annoying missing out on something. The case you are involved in can go in many directions and fast. There are too sides to this though; You can replay any of the cases that you've solved however you've got to drag your feet though the cut scenes and the dialog again and that gets old soon. I found myself not wanting to go through another 30 Min. when I missed 5 questions as it took too long to comb over something so simple. I'll give a more in-depth review later on when I've completed some more. The game looks great so far but the Pop-ups and frame rate are killing the experience for me. |

I think I saw my first female bush in this game. LOL, I'm pretty sure pubes make this game a AO title but 10/10 for trying.

360 or PS3?
Also you can replay cases after they're completed, Rockstar said that in one of their preview videos. |

Its not a surprise that the game doesn't have heavy shooting segments since they announced that you're able to skip shooting scenes, which made it obvious that shooting wasn't the focus.Sounds like the game's going to need a patch like with RDR.

I normally don't like super hard games, but I think for a game like this, I would be disappointed if it wasn't. Pretty glad I pre-ordered it! Sounds like an intriguing game.

I've been hyped for this game since the GI cover story last year. Got to see one of the cases played through at PAX East this year, and that put my hype through the roof. I didn't see much pop-in or any framerate issues in the PAX East demo; I really hope it's not that prevalent in the finished game.

I'm playing it on the xbox right now but I'm definately switching to ps3. The game was made on the ps3 then ported to the 360 and I seriously can tell because of the glitches and frame slow down.
Not exactly a day one purchase but maybe 2-4 weeks after it comes out it should be around 30-40. This game is good in my opinion but it will be a hit or miss because some people won't like it at all. You can replay a mission to try and see different outcomes or get experience/questions that you missed but the missions are long and have cutscences you can't skip so its not really in your best interest as you only miss out on 2-3 points per question. If you totally F up and miss half the questions then its worth replaying. This game really gets hard when your trying to tell if someone is lying/bluffing or telling the truth. Their expressions look so real its hard to pin point if you can't do it in real life. I just barely can tell if something is a miss because I'm actually a people watcher and can pick up on people cues but for everyone else its still ing hard. I'm considering getting a guide for this which I never do.Oh, one last thing, the music is amazing, granted I've now heard the same few tunes replayed over and over, they get me hyped up while doing a chase scene, stopping a bank robbery or running from mobsters. I'd say that the detective work gameplay, music, and the models get a straight 10 out of 10. However the low frame rate, random glitches, unforgiving mistakes and watered down gunplay negitavely effect the experience. Again I'm only like 5 hours in, I'm going to play more today however right now my score would be a solid 8.5, maybe the ps3 version would get a 9 but I haven't got my hands on it yet. |

There is a soundtrack coming out digitally for this on Tuesday as well.
Also if you buy the guide (done by BradyGames) then you get free updates for it for the DLC. I assume they're PDF's sent to your email, but not for sure until I open it up. |

So if you don't have a PS3 you're screwed? Is it really that bad on the 360? Hopefully they can fix the framerate issues and such in an update, but it's disappointing that they'd release it in this state.
