How much do fat 80GB PS3s go for these days? I never play games on mine and I'm wondering if it would be worth it to sell it and just buy a stand alone BR player.

Don't you have the 80GB PS3 with two USB ports? You may want to mention it since there's a big difference between the two 80GB PS3s.

PS3 has excellent games IMO, but if you only want to watch blu-rays, don't bother keeping it.

In order for it to be worth keeping, the PS3 would have to have an exclusive or two that would make it worth my while. The only thing I can say I'd be interested in playing is Infamous 2, but even then my desire to play that game is luke warm at best.

Everything else I can just play on my 360.

I'm not a huge PS3 fan, but the Uncharted series has made it worthwhile for me. It also is one of the best BR players out there, you might as well save yourself some trouble and keep it.

$110 at microcenter. About $100 or so more everywhere else.

So you can play killzone, uncharted, motorstorm, little big planet, resistance, twisted metal, last guardian and many others I didn't mention on 360 ? Since when did this happen have you tried or looked up the games I mentioned cause you are missing out on alot. I have a ps3 and 360 and I couldnt have it another way
I would say keep it. Even if you don't have that many games you want for it, you still want a Blu-Ray player. So, by keeping the PS3 you are preventing yourself from having to mess with selling your PS3 and then having to go out and buy a new Blu-Ray player.

As others have said, the PS3 is one of the best Blu-Ray players out there, since you already put the money into it I would just keep it. Then you have the best player and the option to still play games on it if should something that you want be released down the road!

i'd wait till AFTER e3... who knows they might announce some games or tech you might be interested in (i.e. God Of War 4). fwiw i think getting rid of it for $100 is kinda pointless, what's $100 get ya? 2 new releases for xbox? you might not buy many games, but you can always join blockbuster and go through a pretty extensive back catalog (Valkyria Chronicles, Infamous, Demon's Souls) <- this coming from a proud 3 console owner who prefers Xbox 360.

I play xbox360 all the time. ps3 sometimes, I use it mostly for blu rays from netflix. why would you want a seperate, more limited blu ray player? Im stumped

I'd just like to add that the PS3 BR player is amazing compared to other players out there. I bought a stand alone for the downstairs and I absolutely hate how slow and unresponsive it is compared to my PS3(it's a sub-$100 player, so it is lower end). They really did do right this time.
