Looking for a game on a specific platform? Type in the platform name with the title!

Don't worry this isn't another E3 Blog or dubious question and this blog post won't have any links to another blog site that you just copy and pasted here to get more views which technically is a referral IMHO but I'm not a Mod, I'm just a simple man.

And this simple man can't get through 2 youtube videos without having to sit through a 30 second ad. Granted, there is a way to stop pop-ups but now there is shit that takes up the entire screen that you can't bypass. I can't even watch news videos without having to learn about how dawn dish soap cleans dishes, hell, nothing much else can change after 50 years unless they made a new soap that can clean the dishes for you and turn into candy. EVEN IF I HAVE THE GOD DAMN PRODUCT/VIDEO GAME/SERVICE I STILL HAVE TO SIT THROUGH THIS AD???

I'm sick of it and their isn't much we can do about it. I wish we could retaliate against advertisements, mainly in videos.

Also to all those wanna be, up-and-coming youtube stars, do you seriously think I'm going to watch your video? Really? I say it and skip the entire video and as I can only imagine, other people are turned off by it as well. And also, WHY DO I HAVE TO WATCH A AD IF I"M TRYING TO SEE THE TRAILER (which is, technically) ALREADY A AD???

So I hope you enjoy the .0001 cent you just earned because you've just lost a potential fan who somehow could have donated a $1 or bought your product or given you cookies.

Oh and this isn't directed at anyone on CAG by the way...*cough*indirected*cough*

Do yourself favor and epnever video destructoid their video ads are horrendous. Want to rematch something you just viewed? Well sit through the same ad you saw the first time you viewed the video!

since you directly mentioned youtube videos... do you know how much money it costs to run a website like that??
if they didn't have ads that you HAD to watch, then there wouldn't be a youtube. would you rather not have youtube? because that is basically the other solution.
i don't really mind the ads. yes, they are annoying when you are trying to watch something else, but you have to think about the cost of maintaining a site.

even for small sites, without ads most of them would not exist. or do you even think CAG would be around if it wasn't for the referral money? There's no way CheapyD would pay for the server/bandwidth if the site didn't make him money.

If I were to complain about something, I would complain about TV channels you have to pay extra to watch, and still show commercials... you would have a good argument there.

I think it is annoying to be forced to watch a video too, but like tv commercials, they need to get paid somehow and ads do that. One thing that can be changed is how ads are used but unless your in online advertising, not much you can do. Basicly, you can just start using the places that do it right and stop using youtube. Those are the only factors thatll change the websites mind.

Won't help with video ads, but for normal browsing the Windows hosts file is your friend.

You know what would be nice? If bandwidth costs went down. Remember when $10 worth of gas used to fill up a tank? If only YouTube could run on $10 / month, it can get by with just the ad banners.

Hmm, maybe I should consider putting ads on my car.

I know how you feel human. I prefer ads to paying a monthly fee on multiple sites but it is getting a bit crazy now. I watched a 4 part video yesterday and each part had a full 1 minute ad it even played twice on one part.... Ads bug me the most when I'm in "I don't have shit to do" mode and I'm watching random under 1 minute clips on the net with ads on almost every video. Yes they're necessary but they still annoy the shit out of me sometimes.

Websites need to find other means of income, If I've got to watch a ad just to watch a trailer that iss ridiculous.

I watched a 10 minute video on daily motion and had to sit through 4, 30 second ads. Some websites are making hand over foot in revenue and or even offering other users to add advertisement clips for cash, which they obviously get a cut of and I'm seriously sick of it.
