I like Sonic Unleashed More Than Gears of War

A few days ago I was looking for something to play. Wasn't in the mood for anything in particular, so I walk up to my closet with my games and end up picking out God of War 3 to try and play through again. Upon placing it into my PS3 and starting the game I realized I was wasting my time on a worthless game and promptly quit out.

Going by to my closet I spot and old favorite. Sonic Unleashed for the PS3. I put that in and start playing and I've got to say, much better than God of War, for a multitude of reasons.

Firstly as far as the main characters go Sonic is far better. He saves the world from not only Eggman aka Dr. Robotnik, but also a big giant monster in the core of the earth. In God of War you play as a pasty white guy who's is mad about everything and whines. Thankfully he dies in the end , hopefully never to return.

Secondly the story is more epic. An extremely speedy blue talking hedgehog saving the world and putting the pieces of EARTH back together or some white guy going on some boring killing spree against loser gods who die from the stupidest things.

Of course, gameplay is what really matters and where Sonic Unleashed blows God of War away. You get to play fast paced high action levels as normal Sonic, but you can also change to night levels and play as Sonic The Werehog, which simply put has a better combat system than God of War.

Here's my experience with God of War: Some enemies show up, hit square square square square square until they die. Occasionally I like to throw in a triangle to mix things up a little. Get to a boss fight, kill him with some square square square square square and a little triangle, then more boring enemeies to kill and boring puzzles.

Here's my Sonic Unleashed esperience: "Oh shit!! Going so fast!! Gotta save the world!! Kill that robot with a homing attack, next one too, homing attack onto a rail, boost!! Hit a spring!! Boost through some robots!! YEAH!! BLOW THEM OFF THE ROAD!! GO THROUGH THAT LOOP!! RUN OVER THAT WHALE!! AWESOME!!!" Then the werehog levels "Yeah! I'm an awesome ALL POWERFUL Werehog!! Hit those guys!! BAM BAM SLAM!! GIANT MONSTER SHOWS UP!!! BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF IT!!! YEAH!!!"


Needless to say, God of War 3 is going in the trash and i'm going to keep the better of the two games and continue playing it.

Okay I can't tell if this is a serious blog or not. A few things are worth pointing out I suppose. Besides you not comparing Sonic Unleashed to the game you list in the blog title, you also throw out a spoiler for God of War 3. I've played through the game already but some people may not appreciate your lack of discretion with that. Also I'm assuming you know that Kratos isn't "pasty white" but he is covered in ashes if I'm not mistaken.

Once again though if this is a joke blog I guess the joke is on me.

The fact he confuses God of War and Gears of War, games totally exclusive to 2 different consoles, makes me wonder what type of shrooms this kid was eating to even be able to play a Sonic game.

I was originally going to write about Gears of War, but when I began writing I remembered just how terrible those games are and switched to God of War which is slightly less terrible. I left the title as a reminder of what almost happened.

I really hope this is a joke. I couldn't make it past the 1st Monster-Sonic level, it was so bad and the combat was poorly done. It's not worth the plastic it's printed on.
