Evo 2011 Highlights (from what I watched of it) |

The whole Level 3 Dark Phoenix hate (because she could eliminate a entire team within a matter of seconds)
Noah, the 8 year old sensation who almost got into the top 32 Level 3 Tron taking out Haggar and Dark Phoenix to reset the Finals bracket Poongku ripping off his jacket and acting like a bad ass (for a asian nerd he tried his best) Poongku perfecting several opponents even Daigo. That was about it including most of the MvC3, Street Fighter 4 and Mortal kombat footage, I fell asleep during Blazblue which I regret. |

Poongko was really good. When he matures more (re: stops taking risks when he has game in hand like he did to drop him to losers and then eliminated) he will be someone to watch out for.
Also, I thought Viscant was going to drop that final match. After getting Tron raped that had to be a head ![]() |

i think other moments you can list is PR Rog taking out Wong and Fuudo knocking everyone out to win SSF IV AE,
Wolfkrone getting completely decimated by Fuudo is another one especially with all the evo points Wolfkrone accumulated. I agree with Josh on Poongko. Poongko is already up there but he will be a force if he can stop taking risks with game in hand. Evo was really fun to watch this year and seeing Fuudo knocking off everyone and Viscant taking the throne in MvC 3 was awesome. |

PR Rog was clearly drained after reseting the bracket, I knew he couldn't do it again it was pure luck and entertainment.
I only posted the moments that I saw that got everyone pretty hype. Forgive me if I'm not including anything else but these were the best moments. |

@ Poongko is such a showboat it seem like every fight he had strip off his jacket in a dramatic fashion every match. I'm glad Latif killed him. Latif is a very humble player. No showboating just a quick nod and a hand shake to his opponent after each win.

Probably the big story was Justin Wong cashing it in on his two elimination matches for MVC 3 and SSF4 AE. It look like he gave up at the end of the each match.

Evo was great MK9 was really good the audience loved it, i got to catch the finals but not the stuff before that, Poongko deserved the wins he got he played really well so did Latif Knocking out Poongko, Diago and Tokido even if he came in second he did it with style.
Fuudo was humble about it the entire night, i got to catch the after hours cast on justin.tv afterwards Fuudo and Latif had a rematch same characters Fuudo still won while knocking back beers lol. the MvC finals were good i just wish people didn't depend on that Phoenix team so much during the all the way from the qualifiers to the semis you see people who by all means should have won get did in by some cheesy Phoenix rebirths. tekken was mostly the same lots of BobvBob or BobvLaw. PR Rog's tron super at the end of the match with Viscant was amazing i was yelling no way cause i had assumed it would end up like every other Phoenix comeback a really great match. cant wait for next year... |

@Dan
i dont mind showboating. It would be boring to see a bunch of humble players just go at it with no emotion.Guys like Poongko make it fun and bring that much more hype to it. Poongko would have beaten Fuudo if he didnt take so many chances. Fuudo was smart to bait out the kick so he could land the ultra at the end. Poongko just has to mature more as a player and stop taking senseless risks...especially against smart players like Fuudo or Latif. I really wish Latif and MR.SNK would have been able to go to SBO. I think they would have been the US' best shot to get past the quarters. |
