Backlog Blues - Uncharted 2

Overall I have to say that I really enjoyed playing through Uncharted 2.
The end was pretty good though I kind of miss the "survival horror" aspect that part 1 did near the end.

I did enjoy the banter at the end too.

"On a scale of 1-10 how scared where you that I was going to die"
"4"
"4, really?"
"yeah - those guardian things were an 8"
"If those were an 8, then what's a 10?"
"Clowns"

I think I'd like to run through the first game again (deleting my old info so that I can install the trophy pack) before the 3rd one comes out just to do it. I don't think I have played it since the year it was released.

Now I'm looking forward to part 3 even more, and I'm kind of excited about the Vita Uncharted as well even though I really don't like playing action games on hand held systems too much.

This makes 14 games that I have beaten year to date which still gives me plenty of time to hit my goal of 20, and if I chose a couple of other games that are not so lengthy I can get back onto pace of beating 2 every month.
June and July were really bad months for me because of Vacations and friends visiting and me playing a metric -ton of poker instead of playing any video games.
In fact, if it were not for the girl wanting to play Mortal Kombat and having me help her with the fights that she couldn't beat I would not have had a single game completed in June or July.

I don't know what my next game is going to be right now, i need to look over my collection and look over the list of games that I wanted to beat this year.

I still have 8 games on my too beat list that I formed at the beginning of the year.
I know that I will not complete that list. I have no interest in hooking up my Wii currently to play NSMB, and while I started King Kong it bored me and I shelved it (maybe later.).

Castlevania is a game I still want to beat but when last I played it I had trouble getting into it. So, maybe i'll start the Mass Effect series to beat 1 and 2 before 3 comes out.
I know it's going to be hard to play anything on my list in September as there are too many new games coming out that I will probably end up with and want to play right away.
God of War Origins will give me some fun early while Gears of War 3 will dominate the end of my month.
Also want to pick up Ico/Shadows which I have never played either game.

Too many games too little time.

What a coincidence, I just beat Uncharted 2 last night too. It was awesome. There was never a dull moment. The story felt a little bland, but it did exactly what it needed to. The cast of interesting characters really made it work. The cutscenes were still cinema quality though. It ripped off a few things from Raiders of the Lost Ark, and that's a good thing. The truck jumping section was incredibly fun. It satisfied a long-held desire to live that scene.

I had let it sit around for about 3 months while I beat the God of War double pack. Now it's just God of War 3 and the Mass Effect 2 DLC left in my backlog. I'll have it clear in time for UC3 and Skyrim hopefully. Anyway, glad to see someone else playing great games like this so late after their release lol.
Yeah man, I'm awful at playing great games when they come out for the most part.
I just played and beat Fallout 3 this year too haha.
And I haven't even touched any Mass Effect game yet.
