Maybe I have just been spoiled by Amazon and their two day shipping/release day shipping but man... I per-ordeered Driver: San Francisco and I still haven't gotten the game. Checked the tracking today and they said to expect in on the 16th! This almost isn't worth the 12 bucks I saved by buying there. Never again Toys R Us, never again.

I'm pretty sure my brother pre-ordered a game from them once and it was a nightmare. He ordered the game pretty far in advance, but didn't actually get it for over a week after release. I think he ended up having to e-mail them and everything.

They had a B2G1F promotion on Wii games when the system first came out and I chose my free game to be CoD 3. I received my first two games, but they didn't ship CoD until almost seven weeks after the release date. Never ordered from them again.

That's how free shipping is. Amazon's free shipping is also incredibly slow.

Point being if you want faster shipping you have to pay for it.

Amazon's free shipping has never been slow for me. I used to get items shipped in 3 days, 4 days max on a rare occasion. Now with Prime I get everything in 1-2 days. It may depend on your location from a shipping center though.

Why pre-order when you know the game won't sell out? Pre-ordering is dumb.

Amazon free shipping takes at least a week for me after they ship it out a day or two after I order. I don't know if you live right near where they mail things out or what.

@whoknows, I have had the same situation with @GaveUpTomorrow, I have never had a problem with Amazon's free shipping. I don't believe in paying for shipping when the option for free shipping is available, I don't need things that quickly, so why pay more. But, I always seem to get things super fast from Amazon. There have been rare situations where it took a little longer, but for the most part I will have my orders in under a week from Amazon with FSSS. A few weeks ago when I ordered the TouchPad's, I ordered them around 2 in the afternoon on Sunday and had them on Wednesday or Thursday, so I don't think that is bad at all.

It sounds like it all depends on where you live and where the shipment facilities are though... that can make a huge difference.
