Fall 2011 game releases - my head asplodey

I was reading an article on Metacritic about most anticipated games the rest of the year...or whatever it was called. As I read through it, games I keep forgetting about or didn't even realize were releasing so soon reared their heads, and I can only think to myself, "How can one person be so interested in so many distinct types of games!?"
I was already down for Batman and BF3, and probably AC:R. I'll play Skyrim, Rage, Saints Row 3, Uncharted 3, and Dark Souls at some point. Oh right! Kirby's DS and Wii releases are a month apart. Team Ico collection is coming up. Skyward Sword. Let's not forget the games people seem to keep forgetting about. Serious Sam 3 (WHOO!). Cursed Crusade. I keep forgetting about Ratchet & Clank myself. Obviously, as a CAG, I can't just buy them all on release. But I feel like I could dump my entire backlog and have enough games to play for 2 years if I paced myself, just with releases yet to come in 2011. I almost forgot Professor Layton! And I haven't played Dead Island or Space Marine yet. *head asplodes* |

Yeah, too many great games coming to be able to get them all Day One. Gotta make some tough choices. For me, it's Batman and Saint's Row 3 on their release days; everything else when I can get to it. And don't forget that 2012 is going to be sick, too: Mass Effect 3, Bioshock Infinite, Last Guardian (hopefully), Darksiders 2, XCOM, Tomb Raider, SSX.... that's just some I'm hyped for off the top of my head. Sure I'm forgetting a lot.

I'll probably be even more excited for Darksiders 2 than I am even for Batman, which is saying a lot. I bought the PC version of the game just for the trinkets - I gave my friend the Steam code!
Since I have Batman AC coming free with my new video card, BF3 is the only game left I think I'll be getting Day 1...but who to buy from!? |

Sometimes I'm glad I'm too cheap/stingy to buy games at full price, or buy too many. All I really want is Disgaea 4 (waiting for cheaper) and Dark Souls. Just those will keep me busy for many many months. And then Diablo 3 whenever that comes out will keep me busy for years!

Well - I have Gears 3 coming to me release day.
I still have to pick up GoW Origins. Ico/Shadow coming later. Dark Souls is a must have Batman is a no brainer. Skyrm is another one i'll get and sink a TON of time into. And these are only the "must plays" that are coming out - a lot of other good games as well. And next year is going to be big early on too - and who knows exactly when Diablo 3 comes out but that is going to be a bigger time sink for me than even skyrim. Sick next 6 months. |

It's times like this where I really enjoy Gamefly. I know I can't afford all the games coming out, so Gamefly will help me out tremendously.
