Hmm...you could have done it differently. Maybe like "hey Jess, I was wondering if you would like to go see The Dark Knight with me tomorrow?" or something like that AFTER a conversation. Maybe you could talk about movies and then ask her. Something like that.

Don't give up. Maybe theres still chance. And keep being her friend if she still rejects you.

But I'm no expert. I kind of did the same mistake in way when I asked a girl out (look at my Goals & Girl blog).

You're in high school, right? I recommend not wasting time with dating at all while you're still in high school. Dating in high school ends badly for most people.

I can't stress that enough. If you think its awkward now, try seeing it through her point of view. She has ideas running through her head right now on what to do next. She is embarrass right now and really doesn't want any contact with you. Space is the best answer right now. The main thing is: she knows you like her and now she is aware of it.

I will show you two different ways to win her back.

1. Talk to new girls. Girls get jealous when you show more attention towards a different girl (just like that 1 bad girl you told us about). This is a good way to get Jessica to notice you again. Like the saying goes "People want what they can't have." She will go out of her way to get your attention back and maybe realize that you are a great catch.

2. Girls know other girls. If you show her you are a great guy; she will have no problem recommending you to another girl. Single girls trust their friend's opinion on dating and stupid stuff like lip gloss. As stated in your post, she doesn't want to hurt your feeling means she cares about you to extend that hurting your feelings makes her feel bad. Meaning, if she can find a way to help you succeed in your quest on finding the perfect girlfriend. She will go out of her way to find you a girl;however, the key word is to be mature. If you confront her, she is going to push you away and tell the rest of the girls that you are a creep or something.

If none of these option works, take this as a lesson in understanding women and move on to the the next girl.

Don't waste your time dude. "I'll think about it" is another word for "beat it creep" or "You don't have money/car" or "I just got out of a bad relationship and you remind me of my ex".
