UPDATE: Bought Call Of Duty MW3 hardened, Codes are missing. *FIXED* by Activision |

I preordered My copy of CoD MW3 hardened from Amazon, I actually ordered 2 copies. One for me and one for my good Bud. So i Grab a copy that is my copy and he gets the other copy. I open my copy up and its missing the little pamphlet that's supposed to be behind the game. This pamphlet has the codes to the CoD elite service and to the avatar outfit and such. WTF!!!??? I contact amazon and unfortunately the do not have anymore copies so i cant get an exchange... I try and contact Activision but they have they haven't even acknowledged that i sent any inquiry. I tried their CoD people on Twitter and no one responds. They respond to everyone elses stupid questions but I get nothing. Looks like I'm going to have to return this item and i will be screwed out of the Hardened edition. Anyone else having this Problem?
11/09/11 UPDATE: Spoke to Activision Support on the phone today and after a 65 minute wait a guy tells me that since I spoke to Bernard who is their Boss they will push my issue to Tier 2(???) but i will have to wait 2 days for some kind of answer. At least it looks like I'll be taken care off, too bad its taking forever. 11/14/11 *UPDATE* Okay so this is what happened. After two days passed and activision did not talk to be I contacted them again. The guy handling my case totally forgot my issue even though he had my case # and information in front of him. he said he would check to see the status. 30 minutes later i get an email from Activision saying that my issue should be resolved and to enjoy my game. Well they never actually did anything so i got upset and called them back. They then gave me a number to their Main office where some one else took my case. They asked me to prove that i had bought the game . They needed a invoice from Amazon and a packing slip. Amazon didnt send a slip so Activision told me to contact amazon and get one or they cant process my claim. Amazon told me that they aren't including Packing slips in all orders because they are expanding their green initiative and that their digital invoice should be Legal proof enough for my purchase. The Amazon rep told me that if Activision didnt accept that, that she would refund me $50 back to my card. I contacted Activision and told them that Amazon said the digital copy was legal all they said was they would call me back and tell me if they could take it. Amazon calls me the next day and asks if Activision accepted the proff and I told her I wouldn't know until today because It was Saturday and they wouldn't be at the office till Monday. The rep then said you know what I'm going to give you the refund anyway. Today Activision called me and asked me for my Gamertag and a picture of the printed out digital invoice so i gave them that and waited for another call. I just got a call from them and said they will accept the proof and Send me the codes. Activision came through. ![]() |

Check if eBay has any of the codes up for sale then contact Amazon's live customer support. Inform them that the value of the product you've purchased is not worth as much because the code is missing (it's not considered "New"). Leave an open request with them noting that you'll get back to them after Activision responds to you -- as it's an issue on their behalf.
In the mean time, look for a Hardened Edition elsewhere. If you find one, buy it and return the other copy to Amazon. If you don't find one, and in the event that Activision doesn't respond to you in a week, go back to customer support on Amazon and request that you be credited on Amazon for the cost of the code on eBay. If not, request a refund in full. Best of luck settling this. Really sucks for Amazon. One of you will eat the cost of this, and I ing doubt it'll be activision. Amazon seems to be fairly understanding and likes to keep their customers happy with purchases. |

The rep at amazon told me that they are expecting more and that he will keep me updated if anything changes. He hopes by next week he can get me an exchange. I later received an email that he gave me $10 promo credit for my troubles. I finally made contact with someone at Activision and they told me that i'll get some kind of answer in 24 hrs.
@RabbitSuit I'm trying to find it elsewhere... so far no luck but thanks for the other suggestions. I hope to at least get a $50 credit from amazon so i can buy a 4000 point microsoft card to buy the Elite membership. |

Try calling. They won't give a shit about an email you sent. And they can easily ignore twitter just as well unless you have a lot of followers.

I would tweet or email Mike Amrich (sp?), Activision's social networking guy. He usually talks to fans, and I bet he'd try and help you out.
I'd be willing to tweet him on your behalf, and maybe other CAGs would too. Not having those codes really sucks. Hope it gets resolved. |

I did tweet Dan Amrich but he never responded. Another dude at activision Tweeted me and I gave him my claim # and he said that he would look into it. Hopefully I get an answer today.
