This search bar is a powerful tool for navigating CAG. You can use it to find the lowest prices on games, trade-in values, search members, forum and blog topics, and much more.

After searching for a game title, click the icon to pop-up a window with pricing information.

After typing in what you are looking for, you can filter your results by clicking on one of the tabs that pops up from the top of the search bar.

Tips

Looking for a game on a specific platform? Type in the platform name with the title!
Example: guitar hero 360

You don't need to click a pop-up tab to filter results. Just type what you are looking for right into the search bar.
Example: gears of war prices
Example: ninjatown review

Why the code drops need to go

One of my posts seems to have gotten a little bit of attention (in the copied and pasted to another thread sort of way). So I've decided to flesh it out a bit here in a blog.

First of all, I like the free code drops. I've grabbed a couple things from them since they came around. They were a nice way for CAGs to share something amongst themselves - like handing something off to a friend. But then, info about the drops spread - I'll say this mainly has to do with the Xbox Code Drop thread. And a couple months after the thread was started, it was bombarded with people who simply joined the site to beg for codes.

These were people had no interest in being CAGs, no interest in being a part of the community, no interest in even reading the FAQs or posting guidelines. They were just here for the freebies... increasingly in the rudest and most obnoxious ways possible. And soon they began to branch out from the free stuff forum into the rest of the site.

Unfortunately, they don't want to join the site in any positive way. Ever noticed how many threads have just been reduced to nothing but griefing and witty retorts like "STFU F@GGiT!!11" over the last year? It seems to me that CAG had a greater sense of community before. You could ask a question and get an honest answer - whether it was about an opinion on a game or to find out if a store nearby was honoring a particular deal or virtually anything else. Now more and more, instead of getting an answer or having a friendly chat, you get flamed or trolled.

At this point, I think the only way to shed some of the site's recently acquired negative elements would be get rid of the main thing that they're here for. Once the code drops are gone, they'll lose all interest in CAG and move on to another site for their freebies. They'll go and troll and make general asses of themselves there instead, too. And Cheap Ass Gamer can go back to being a community again.

Will I miss getting some free stuff myself? No doubt about it. Do I think it sucks for all real CAGs here to lose that part of the site? Again, yea. But do I really feel like it would be best for the site? Absolutely.
I can only hope that one of the mods or even Cheapy D himself reads this and takes this into consideration: Please delete the code drop threads, they're more trouble than they're worth.

Wow...get a life. So more people join the site to get free codes. Big deal...

What, are they taking precious codes that you could have had for free? So basically since you cant get as many free codes, and since some newbie ass-hat was rude to you, that means we should not have any more code drop threads...yeah, you are dumb.

I hate lurkers as well, but that is a poor excuse to stand on my pathetic soapbox and announce to the community that the code drop is cancer to CAG and needs to go...like you know what is best for the CAG community...

Get a life and quit your whining. CAG does not revolve around you and people will do things that you dont agree with. That's called "life". Shit happens, deal with it, move past it, and get over yourself. There is a reason why the code drop threads are some of the highest rated and most popular threads on CAG...think about it.

EDIT: I wish you could rate people or blogs like threads... If I could, I would give you 1-star for your utterly useless, negative blog. (Yes, I fight negativity with negativity, lol).

EDIT 2: This almost seems like a pathetic attempt to get blog views and gain some sort of CAG fame/notoriety by being outspoken on an almost non-issue to most people. Thanks Al Gore, we get it, now get lost so we can go about our normal lives.

@RedRing you know, i dont really disagree with what you have said... but it seems like you could take a little of your own advice here... "Get a life and quit your whining"

@crzyjoeguy I probably should. I let things annoy me too much...especially since I am sitting at home being sick, so I am in a crappy mood already. :-/

Yea it's funny in any giveaway thread you see lots of members with a join date of the same month as said giveaway.
I wish I could say something intelligent on the matter but... I'm of no importance and this blog won't get any positive attention. We already have hateful comments from people that aren't what you described. Sorry Mr. Blogger, this is how things turn out. Maybe one day those people will change but try to keep your head up around here until then. =)
P.S To AvidWriter: That made me laugh pretty hard. Cause it's true.

Thanks, RedRingofDeath for doing such a good job of proving my point.
