Why doesn't anyone leave voicemail anymore?

If I don't have you in my contacts and I don't recognize the number why should I bother calling you back if I have no idea who you are and why you are calling then why should I bother calling back?

I think its due to the fact that 99% of people do not even listen to the voice mail that was left.
But even if an unknown caller gets to your voicemail, that person might not even know you but might be too dumb to hang up. Sad facts, but all true. |

Yep - stopped listening to Voice Mails long ago because 99% of them are useless.
If I don't answer and you need something just shoot me a  ing text - it's quicker and you have a better chance of me noticing it and responding. |

Ya, if it's a number I dont have in my contact list, then they should probably leave a voicemail if they're interested in talking to me.
But I agree with grrouchie, if I know you, just text me. I jokingly yell at friends and family who still leave voicemail. |

I ignore your call if your not on my contact list, and shit even if your on my contact list and leave a voicemail I ignore that also

yeah i started using airplane mode and wifi when at home. i started giving out my google voice number on my resume so i don't have to have my real phone number out there. that way i can still get a transcription forwarded to my email and call back if important.

I imagine the people that you don't know don't want to leave a voicemail because you aren't going to call them back; they are trying to reach you for a reason (i.e. telemarketing).

I only call my voicemail when the voicemail icon on the top left of my screen starts to annoy the shit out of me. And even then I just spam the shit out of the 7 key in order to erase it all as quickly as possible. So yeah, I never listen to the stupid voicemails.
