I've had so many good beers and forgot them so i've decided to start a blog so I can remind myself of what i liked and did not. And hopefully this may help fellow CAGs try something new!
First up I'll talk a bit about Tall Grass brewings Velvet Rooster.
I'm not gonna lie, i picked this beer because of the awesome can. However when I got it i realized it was a Tripel and was disappointed because with the word Velvet in the title I was expecting a really smooth stout, also I really don't like the Belgian style beers at all. However, I sipped it and was pleasantly surprised. The smell had a nice citrus scent with a slight hint of malt. It has a great mouth feel and doesn't have that awful bubble gum flavor most Belgian style beers have. Also with an 8.5 ABV it hides the booze taste very well but still has a little bite. My only problem with this beer is the color. It's color is very reminiscent of your morning wizz after a long night of binge drinking. So keep it in the can and not in a glass. This is a beer I would have again and again and again. B+
