2012 Week 15

Currently Playing:
Gaming 4/8-4/14 3 Hours:  Dead Space: So far so bad in this game. Every time I think I'm going to get super into it and it's going to be awesome, it can suck my ass. I hated Chapter 10... It makes me so mad to have a good time with one chapter then want to kill humanity in the next. I don't understand how one game can be so bipolar. To make it worse I'm really enjoying the story so that has been pushing me. I'm half way through Chapter 12 so hopefully one more sitting.1 1/2 Hours:  Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift: Stuck on what I believe is the last quest, Illua starts the battle on the other side of the map so by time I get over to her the other people have already roughed me up.. Somewhat annoying. Did a few more side quests to try and level up. Will do a few more before trying her again.1 Hour: Fallout 3: Played another game from the backlog. I had just made it out of the vault, so went to town and needed cash to get clues about my dad. Did a side quest and then that was about it. I can not believe the amount of detail in the game. People getting mad at me for knocking shit over in their house, and me selling some stuff to someone who didn't have any caps so I basically just gave them away. I figure I should be able to get to this game by August or September, it will be awesome.Had extra time on Easter so was able to partake in the the extra game from my backlog. (Fallout) Didn't have anywhere near as much because work was so crazy this week. Then my girlfriend has a friend in town this weekend too so not really time for much gaming. Next week will be busy again with life stuff so hopefully at some point I will find time to beat Dead Space. The game makes me so angry because it's so good but so ridiculous and grrr. I will be really glad to be done with it. Even more so since my next game is Arkham City. Almost done with all the levels in Angry Birds space too. We will see what next week brings. Looks like you are still making great progress.
I hate games like that where you really hate it but keep playing it cause there is something that pulls you in. Hopefully it won't take up too much of your time and you can get in to something better.. i.e. Arkham City! Work has been crazy for me this week as well. I started up a DS game that I could just waste a few minutes on here and there, played it a few minutes the first night and then haven't been back to it since, haven't been on the computer or nothing. I'm completely drained from work and still have to work on painting and things... I need a vacation  Keep up the good work! |

How many games are you up to in your backlog now? My limit of 59 has been working out very well so far this year. Beat Dead Space on Sunday so I was going to grab Darksiders from Best Buy for $10 but it's already sold out everywhere. That's fine though. I'll just wait till I find another $10 game.
I haven't played anything since Dead Space though because of work. Looks like it's going to be no gaming till the weekend. |

According to the site where I try to keep everything updated but not sure how updated it actually is (when I get my new shelves I'm going to work on organizing everything again) I have 358 games at the moment, 294 of which are not complete :( So I got a long way to go... but like I have said before, I'm really lucky that I don't like RPGs so my games only take a while because I'm slow, not because they have 100s of hours of gameplay
My backlog is to the point that I will probably never be able to finish them all, with work and stuff it is just too much, so I'm just playing what I can and not stressing so much, but I do want to keep making good progress. Congrats on beating another game... too bad you couldn't get Darksiders, but like you said, there will always be more games you want. I think it is awesome that you are doing such a good job keeping with your rules you have set on your backlog... I have tried, but failed I have a feeling I'm not going to get anymore gaming in for a few days either... that is why I love my DS when I'm super busy, if I can play anything it will be on the DS because I know I'm not going to be tied down for 60+ minutes. |
