Brief "tour" of Art of Video Games Exhibit. Sorry about my audio, I messed with it for awhile and gave up. |

Great. Thanks for posting this, looks like a cool ' first date ' i'd drag a girl to. Nice to see the 'ol Intellivision there, she was my first.. a nice piece of footage for 10 minutes.

NP, since it was my third time going to the exhibit it seemed appropriate. Glad you enjoyed it.

We took our kids to it and they had a good time, but really it's a pretty awful art exhibit. Lots of "video games are great" messages on the walls, which is something no real art exhibit does (which let their visitor make up their own mind), and nothing really that struck me as showing that video games are art. The closest thing was the HD screens showing people as they played video games - that was good, but it was art about video games, not video games as art. So, as an art exhibit it's pretty poor, but it's still fun to visit once.
Also it was purely consoles. There was nothing about arcade video games, which is a bit shocking for an exhibit about video games - not showing anything at all about their origin. |

Ahh.. maybe a few headsets featuring opening theme songs and tracks, maybe a few walls of pure character development with credited designers. A few tables of models, layouts, stages of development? sounds delicious. i'd visit nearly everyday.
