I imagine most people just fear what they dont understand. The internet can be like this dark mirror, it allows you to see all the things about yourself you usually hide and some people can get quite uncomfortable and defensive when confronted with something they dont consider "acceptable". This is particularly true when they find it stirs something within themselves that they did not expect. Humans are strange things.

I wouldnt worry though. Like all things in life, sexuality comes in shades of grey. The fact that you are comfortable enough to talk about it probably puts you way ahead of the curve.
