Pikmin Gives Me Nightmares

So this is my first blog post. We'll see how it goes and then determine if there will be another . I just got home from work and Ship is trying to beat Too Human. I'm fairly exhausted this evening partly because I had a long day of surgery, but also because I haven't been sleeping well. Not so much because of homework or anything like that, but because we've been playing Pikmin for a few hours in the evening the past few nights. Sounds relaxing, right? WRONG! Last night I had several dreams in which I was constantly trying to direct the Pikmin through my daily routine and they kept falling off of ledges and stuff. I was getting seriously stressed out about the Pikmin until finally I woke myself up out of frustration! Is this a sign of a serious problem (i.e. am I crazy?!?) or do we need to just play less Pikmin?

As someone who encouraged you to play that game (because I thought the sound effects were very iconic) I take full credit for these problems. I don't remember any video game related dreams, so I'm not sure what to tell you there. Maybe lay off for a while, but be sure to go back someday!

Once, after a long, long session of Oblivion, I was driving in my car and I found myself subconsciously looking for Nirnroot next to a pond on the side of the road. Now that's crazy.

The teeth-falling-out-of-your-mouth dream is actually VERY common. I used to have the same problem. Apparently, it has to do with a subconscious fear of growth, so if you are dealing with some sort of maturity related decision (graduating college, finding a better job, moving, getting engaged, etc.) it is very common to have dreams where your teeth are loose and/or start falling out.
I remember having dreams with the Monkey Island games.
When I got stuck on something, I would even dream about the situation and how to solve it... so it can happen.
If you want them to go away, you can either play less, or finish the game!

thor, teeth falling out in a dream is said to mean there is an impending death.

Mrs. Shipwreck, at least it's better than having Call of Duty 4 dreams where you're getting shot at and trying not to get hit by the chopper all while keeping up a positive kill/death ratio.

Speaking of recurring dreams, I used to have the teeth falling out one. I read it had to deal with issues of vanity. Not sure how that is applicable to me, I'm too good looking for my teeth to fall out (just kidding). My long time recurring dream deals with tornadoes. They are so vivid, but I have them so much now that I wake myself up when they get out of hand.

Back in my hard core game playing days I would have those game strategy dreams and they were pretty frustrating.
