1. The control scheme using the touchscreen is either going to drive me so crazy I stop playing the game before I complete hour two -or- 2. I'm going to develop carpal tunnel syndrome at a very young age. I'll post a full review of the game sometime this weekend when I've at least killed some chickens or picked up a boyfriend. |

Darn, you can't just use a standard control scheme?
I'd be curious what you thought of Rune Factory. I really adore that game. The first Harvest Moon DS, on the other hand, I didn't care for at all. I DO like the standard Harvest Moon games, though, not just Rune Factory. I just didn't think Harvest Moon DS was up to snuff. This one looks a lot better. Interesting that they chose to go 3D. I thought the 2D in Rune Factory was gorgeous. And... interesting that they put emphasis on the touch screen. Might be a deal-breaker. |

I just played this game. I was NOT impressed with the control Scheme. Stylus only. Did not suit me well. I shall wait for Rune Facctory 2 to come out before I purchase another harvest moon. The controls sucked bad! Also the fact that the minimap on top of your screen is a little too mini for me to see where is what on my screen.
BTW Rune Factory 2 comes out October 21st. |

Not to turn this into a Rune Factory post or anything, but I've been playing Rune Factory 2 in Japanese. My Japanese is woefully inadequate, so I can't say much, but it has to at least be on par with the first Rune Factory (which blew my mind). I was, and still am, anticipating great things from Rune Factory 2, even if it doesn't blow me away like the first one did. I already have it pre-ordered, of course.
