Two More 3 Game, $30 Bundles From Bandai Namco - Naruto And Tekken/Soul Calibur |

If you remember my post a few days ago asking what was in the "Namco Classic Fighter Collection" that was listed for the Playstation 2, I may have an answer for you. Spencer over at Siliconera might have very well found out the contents of that collection as well as some info on a Naruto based bundle as well. It turns out that both bundles will be about $30 and will most likely be along the lines of the Devil May Cry and Need For Speed bundles which contain 3 regular games in a cardboard sleeve. The lineup for both PS2 bundles are(most likely) as follows.
NAMCO CLASSIC FIGHTER COLLECTION 1. Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Tekken 4 3. Soul Calibur II NARUTO ULTIMATE COLLECTION 1. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2 3. Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles I have everything in the Fighter Collection and the only thing off about it is that Namco put in Tekken 4 and not Tekken 5. Maybe it has something to do with Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection being available on PSN. Most people seem to believe that 4 was the weakest of the series and of the ones I've played, I think it was. Both Tekken Tag and Soul Calibur II are fantastic games so at least it's not a total loss. The Naruto games seem to have all scored pretty well. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 1 & 2 scored around the mid sevens and Uzumaki Chronicles was in the sixes, so overall the bundle should be a pretty good deal. I just started watching Naruto on Cartoon Network's Toonami Jetstream website. They even have the first movie up to watch for free. I'm pretty sure I'll be picking up the Naruto bundle. - Swim |

I guess Tekken 4 makes sense when you take the PS3 released into account like you said. Though the Naruto pack is crap. Not that the games are crap, it's just, why UN1 and 2? Gimme UN3 at least.

I think the first two UN's are Greatest Hits, while UN3 is still full price or close to it. Namco would not want a full price game going for about $10.

I realize that, just stating an opinion that the first two blow in comparison, that's all.

Yeah, the choices seem a little odd. I don't know. Why not Soul Calibur III?
Maybe they should have just gone with specific collections. A Soul Collection including not just the Calibur games but also Soul Edge/Blade from PSOne (still has the coolest story mode) would have been neat. |

@Jesse_Dylan - SCIII had that bad memory card glitch that would wipe out your save(and in extreme cases, the entire card itself). I think that might have been a factor in it not being in there. Also, what better way to get people to pick up SCIII then by giving them SCII in the bundle, as some people might not bother with the earlier games if they have the most recent PS2 version.
@LittleWildman - My love affair with the front page continues!!! |

SCIII is backwards compatible on all 3 systems.

They should have included Uzumaki Chronicles 2 as there is no reason to play Ultimate Ninja 1 if you gotr 2

The bundles seem to be more like a "starter kit" then anything, really. They might do a second bundle somewhere down the line that features the later games.
