After searching for a game title, click the icon to pop-up a window with pricing information.

After typing in what you are looking for, you can filter your results by clicking on one of the tabs that pops up from the top of the search bar.

Why I Will NOT Read Kotaku Until The CAG Community Receives An Apology...

When Kotaku picked up desz's "XBOX's New Name?" blog post, Kotaku must have thought that it was the truth or something. When Brian Crecente found out that it was part of Wombat's Bullshit Blog Contest, he freaked.
His response:
Quote:
UPDATE: It appears that this rumor story could be CAG throwing their credibility out the window as part of a contest. Kotaku''s decision to run rumors is always based on the credibility of the site and the information contained within it. In the past CAG has proven to be a reliable site, having broken a number of stories through apt reporting. It appears that may no longer be the case.
.

This would have been nothing more than a rumour if it hadn't been part of the contest anyways. When you report on a rumour, you will usually find out it is false. I thought the "journalists" over at Kotaku would understand this, considering they probably deal with hundreds of rumours everyday.

Second of all, Crecente's response to the blog post is ridiculous. To blame CAG for his poor decision making when it comes to reporting on Kotaku is totally out of line. I would have thought somebody as important as Brian Crecente would show some professionalism, but this confirms that I would be wrong.

I will conclude by saying I will NOT be reading any more of Kotaku until the CAG community receives an apology from Brian Crecente himself. It would be great if the rest of the CAG community could participate as well. Hopefully Crecente will pull his head out of his ass sooner or later...

Yeah, I usually go to Joystiq as my alternative source for gaming news. I think I'll be reading them for the next couple of days. Hopefully Crecente will see the light by then lol

LMAOOOO!!!!!! I LOVE IT! KOTAKU HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN TROLLED! hhahahaha

CheapyD is right when he said when there no news just make up bullshit or find anything scatter on game site forums which is sad really.

It looks like Crecente is getting a good bashing in the comments.
Here here... their stories and commentary is dry anyways.

Cresente's a douchebag; I'm not saying this from reading Kotaku (I generally don't), but from interacting with him in person.

Nice to see Gizmodo and Destructoid picking up on this. BTW,Cheapy, I hear Desz wants Rock Band 2 (w instruments) as his free game!

Looks like Desz will be getting a free game of his choice as promised by Wombat.

Crecente how dare you blame CAG for your ing mistake. If you took some time away from looking at the mirror you'd realize it was a contest and the last time I checked, a contest is all in good fun with benefits AND NOT STUFF TO WRITE BREAKING STORIES ABOUT.

I will also stop going to kotaku. I don't have the time anyways. WE WANT OUR APOLOGY!!!
don't ban me, please

If this is true, the respect I did have for the site is just about gone...

RE: CAG Rumor Contest

Man......you're a big baby.

I deleted my Kotaku feed in Google Reader because you comment-banned me for telling you to admit you got served.

I enjoy reading rumors and presume 90% are false. Why not treat this rumor as any other? Just admit you were fooled and move on. Nothing wrong with that. You should be careful around windows from now on. You might get thrown out with some of that credibility.

p.s. This counts towards my daily post count, right?

I only go to Kotaku when someone posts a link to an article on there. Since there seems to be some CAG/Kotaku friction now, I guess I'll join the boycott.

I already saluted you on the Kotaku Forum! BRAVO!

Kotaku probably knew that it was a fake and posted it anyway, just for the hell of it. Then they make an update so that there's another post. Imagine that, 2 posts for a story that was fake right from the start!

You can just tell that Crescente's an assclown by looking at him. Takes himself way too seriously.

What a douche. He's just pissed because it was shown that Kotaku is part of the problem. Gaming "news" blogs become less and less relevant with each passing day.

Quick, someone go bake a mushroom-shaped cake so there will be something for them to post about tomorrow.

Strong journalism is it's own reward. I wasn't a frequent visitor of Kotaku, and I never outright disregard a website because of one writer or contributor, but it seems like they've dropped the ball pretty badly. I'm not impressed.

I think Crecente was just having a bad day.
