TRANSFORMERS 2 RUMOR: Hollywood Legend To Voice Soundwave....ONCE AGAIN!!!

Love it or hate it, Transformers(2007) was a pretty big deal for long time Transformers fans, like yours truly. The winks and nods to the old-school fans that grew up watching the show ranged from things like a yellow VW Bug being parked next to Bumblebee at a car dealership to Optimus Prime being a semi-cab and even a cameo by the original transforming sound when Blackout debuted. The fan service was surprisingly good for a major Hollywood movie, but having the original voice of Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen, voice the Autobot leader once again was the greatest display of fan service we could have hoped for in the first movie. But what about the second movie, Revenge of the Fallen?
Well, as some of you may know, Soundwave will be in RotF. The first question after Soundwave was announced was "will Frank Welker(the original G1 voice actor) voice Soundwave in RotF?" Well, according to a rumor out of Seibertron.com sourced by a Transformers podcast is that Welker has "directly recieved a package, via the United States Postal Service from Paramount Pictures." My guess? It's a contract to voice our favorite tape deckSatellite? Pick-up truck? in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. It's not 100% confirmed yet, of course. But considering he's still an active full time voice actor, there really isn't much stopping him from doing it.
For those of you who do not know who he is, Frank Welker voiced Megatron, Galvatron, Soundwave, Rumble, Frenzy, Skywarp and several other characters on the original Transformers TV show back in the 80's. He was also the voice of Freddy on the original Scooby Doo cartoon show in the 70's as well as Nibbler on Futurama. His Wiki page will stun you as to all the characters who he's voiced over the years. He voiced Megatron again in the Transformers game based off the 2007 live action movie. So why did I call him a "Hollywood legend" you ask? He is, according to his Wiki page, "listed as the number one "All Time Top 100 Stars at the Box Office," not as a box office draw, but in terms of the total revenue generated by the films he has participated in."
I really wish the would have had him do the voice of Megatron in the first movie over Hugo Weaving. Nice to see him involved in the next movie. Hopefully it won't suck like the first.
Ya I know, I will definitely be making an appearance in the next movie. I hope I get my original voice too. And yes, this movie is going to pwn the first movie. If you ever read the comic book series where the 2nd movie is based on, you will find out it's a much darker and sinister transformers franchise.
