LBP Moral Dilemma

So news about not being able to finally play Little Big Planet, due to the recall, had me in a crushed state come last Friday. I woke up today thinking, "damn, I could be playing this game in a few hours, but no..." I got on the interwebs and browsed various popular forums. Much to my surprise, many people have been successful in hornswoggling ignorant, unsuspecting Toys R Us and Walmart employees into selling them copies! WTF? Despite the moral dilemmas one would have upon doing this, I feel like I want to at least try. Does this make me a bad person for wanting to so blatantly disregard the ethical integrity of a whole race of people, and for simply wishing to play a good game and fulfill my own desires?

not really. I mean, if you have the opportunity and it works, more power to you. I'm assuming that you have the internet on your PS3, and so when you play it is going to prompt you to patch it on opening day anyway. If you aren't offended, then I think it's a non-issue, as far as the "whole race of people" goes.

It's too late dude. You should've been on the hunt on friday. All copies of LBP have been shipped back and destroyed. I really don't see the moral dilemma. Nobody telling you to steal the game. You want LBP; the store has LBP in stock. Money was exchange for goods. The end.
Seriously, it's the stores fault for not training employees properly. Sh!* they were selling a game that was suppose to hit the store floor on Tuesday and sold it on Friday.

There's no "ethical integrity" issue here. The game offends Muslims, you're (I assume), not a Muslim.

They aren't offended by you playing it.

the issue lies i think. In getting some employee who doesn't know better to sell you something he/she is not supposed it. You KNOW they are not supposed to sell it to you, but you give it a go anyway. Morally it's not the best choice, but obviously not the worst. I don't think someone would lose their job over it.

Eh, if they'll take your money, you should take their game. It's such a widespread problem I don't think anyone is going to come under fire for selling it, it's impossible to reach every employee in every store. If they really cared, they'd mark the UPC code with some kind of 'do not sell' or remove it entirely until the new ones arrive.

Besides, the potentially offensive part will get patched right away, so there's no problem whatsoever. if you can get it, get it!
