Finally, Bandai is starting to release the Fast Packs for their Macross Frontier Model Series. This is just Super Pack, so the Armored Pack shouldn't be that far off. Right now it's just listed as a separate release, but I'm sure some model stores will do bundles as well. Release month is February, and price listed is 2,100 yen. I'm not sure of the conversion to USD since I haven't bought anything recently.
The toy versions, lack the slimness of the model version, but well the bulkiness does feel sorta right at the same time. Unlike the model kits, the toy Fast Packs come bundled with the unit. These have a March release and price of 16,000 - 17,000 yen.
I've been fence sitting on the Macross Frontier front. I know I'll at least get one of the mechs from the series, but I waiting for the Armored Pack toys and model kits before I decide which way to go. Sure there will be a beautiful Yamato version, but that's years away.
Damnit Bandai! A Perfect Grade freaking Gundam Astray Red Frame! I was able to resist the charms of the PG Strike, but this? I'm nearly powerless in the face of this news. May as well start setting aside money for this monster. This too is expected for March and no price listed, but I'm guessing around 15,000 - 17,000 yen. Though it may be a bit lower since the kit will share some runners with the already released PG Strike.
