All right, I knew many expected me to make a posting of this. I took this picture a while ago, but finally got around to it.
I didn't have as big of a Christmas as previous years (last year I got my Nintendo Wii), but I wasn't expecting much and didn't ask for a lot. Most of the games I wanted the most, I already bought, so I asked for some other games I wanted or saw a really great deal on.
I already explained in another blog entry how I got Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. I was always wanting the game, but wanting it for $20. Since I also needed another guitar (Guitar Hero type), I went ahead and got the bundle at Meijer for $36.99 (or well, my Mom said that could be one of my Christmas presents). So at least I got another guitar now, and I got Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (I want Guitar Hero: World Tour more, but just wasn't at the price I was looking for).
BioShock was bought for me at Meijer, due to price matching Best Buy (at $40) and getting another 15% off during a Meijer General Merchandise sale. I loved the BioShock demo on 360 and loved it on PS3. I held off because I wasn't too into FPS, especially single player wise. Since I played tons of R2 single player and other FPS as of late, I decided to finally get it (I'm liking FPS way more than I use to). Plus it will give me extra trophies.
My Mom also got me Silent Hill: Homecoming. I was at Target and spotted one last Clearance copy for $14.98 I always wanted to try it (some of my friends really liked it, but I know some who don't). It's still $59.99 at most places, so I decided to have her get it for me (if I really hate it, I can trade it in). I've mostly been into Silent Hill.
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories Remix was probably purchased for me at Target, since I pointed out the ad when it was $19. Part of me didn't want to get it because I RARELY play PS2 these days. However, I've been wanting the PS2 version of Chains of Memories Remix for a while (prefer console over handheld for it) so I went ahead and asked for it.
The Wii points were bought for me at Meijer using a $5 coupon, to get them for $14.99. I've been wanting Wii points for quite a while since I wanted to download Dr. Mario RX Online and Bomberman Blast for WiiWare. I just did this morning and played them both (despite having issues accessing the Wii Shop Channel this morning). My friend codes for those two games are in my CAG profile.
My sister got me Sonic & The Secret Rings. I just told her to get me a $20 Wii game, and gave her some examples. I was hoping for Samba DeAmigo (since it dropped down to $20), but she knows I love Sonic (and she does too), so she got me that. Regardless of what people say, I've wanted the game for a while and almost bought it many times. I'll still get Samba DeAmigo and others sometime.
I got a Nike Purdue winter coat. Not really something I asked for, but I like it (because Purdue is where I went to college at, and was looking for them at one point).
I also got an 8GB USB flash drive. While I was at Staples and Office Depot with my Dad, I kept mentioning how I was wanting to get a larger one (since mine was just 512MB, which was a decent size 4 years ago, lol). I mostly use my flash drive for backing up PS3 save files and other things.
As for what I got my family, I got my Mom a sweater, my Dad a pair of warm pants, and my sister got a Futurama Season 1 DVD.
Next year I'm expecting a smaller Christmas, but hopefully I have a job by them and can buy my parents nicer gifts. Right now I'm just going to go back to playing what I got.
