This month, and last month has been pretty crazy. My grandma died on Thanksgiving, and then after that my friend tricked me into going to a strip club. I was raised Christian, and was always against that sort of thing, and yet I ended up there. I'll explain the story. They have been trying to get me to go for at least 2 years, and I guess me saying no so many times they figured they would lie to me, and get me to go that way. So my friend said he was going to Ashville, and when they came he headed toward Johnson City. I was like .... I thought we was going to Ashville. He said oh I know of something way better in Johnson City. I knew what he ment as soon as he said that. Needless to say I had a panic attack on the way. When we finally went to the strip club you sign in, and I felt more like I was siging my life away instead. Anyway we went in, and it wasn't exactly the way I had it pictured in my mind. Just a bunch of tables, and guys hanging out stareing at naked woman. The waitress came, and asked what we all wanted. I said I didn't want anything, but my friend bought me a beer anyway. I took maybe 4-5 sips of it, and thought it was terrible, and really don't see why people like it. Although I have had a mixed drink, and that would be more of my thing. Anyway... We stayed there for about a hour or more, and I figured we was leaving, but he bought me a lap dance of all things after he said he wouldn't embrass me. I kind of felt it was wrong to go,but when that girl was grinding on me If I said I didn't enjoy it I would be a liar.

Sorry about your grandmother. As for the strip club atleast you did not get the flu. Two of my co-workers, my boss at the time and me went out drinking one night and the day we went just also happend to be my birthday. They thought I was full of shit just to get free drinks so I showed them my ID. After the bars my co-workers said they were going to take me to the Hustler club. My boss didn't want to go because she has everything they have there refering to her and the stripers. So we get there and for 10 bucks I get a lapdance that one of my co-workers said you never pay for. The stripper had no brests at all and I was to drunk and tired to care at the time. That was a bad move. Found out she later on went home sick because she had the flue. Guess what she gave me for my birthday. Thats right she gave me the flue. I was sick for over a week.

I'd be kinda pissed about being tricked into going. Then again, the company I keep are the kind who would never go to a strip club. Like me, they all see it as a perverted waste of money and time.
And I'm with you, jman, I have no interest in some anonymous woman getting paid to grind into my lap. Obviously it's going to feel good, but the whole thing is just dirty and awkward to me. You aren't weird for feeling that way, just in the minority I think for the average 20-something guy. |

i got suckered into going to a strip club once.. bunch of my friends went out and they all got a chance to go for free and we're were driving together so I had to go as well. It's not something I'd do voluntarily but nothing to panic over. I guess I was lucky. There were some girls with us and I spent the time keeping them company rather than oggling strippers. Ahh my roomate was with me, and he had a girlfriend. He thought it was a terrific time.

If those were my friends...well, they wouldn't be my friends anymore. When you make something clear to someone, they should respect it. By ignoring your beliefs, they showed no respect for you whatsoever, and that isn't cool. It has nothing to do with "loosening up" either, they just went against everything you believe in. People always seem to fall for peer pressure so easily...I would have gotten out of the car and called for someone else to pick me up at that point I realized what they were doing, but thats just me.
What isn't wrong about strip clubs. Beer is pointless. Lusting for another's body is immoral and sinful (one of the 7-deadly), and the whole thing is disgusting altogether. Sorry if I get all worked up, but smoking, drinking, and strip clubs are three of my biggest pet-peeves, and the three things I wish would just be banned altogether. Nothing good comes from these things ever, and I'm proud to say they will never come near me. Sorry about your grandma though...my Great Grandma died at 103 a few years back...it was really sad. |

We went to a strip club in NYC for my bachelor party with 5 friends and in maybe 45 minutes racked up a $900 bill...and that's without any fancy "backroom" rubdown (wouldn't have done it even if they paid, I'd never cheat on my woman). Alcohol+lap dances+tips = $$$$
Granted I didn't pay for any of it, but looking back it was a pretty funny experience and the stories from that night will be told forever in my group of friends. My wife is so sick of hearing it (yes, I told her everything unlike some of my buddies) as it's been recited word for word to almost everyone we know (basically some chick tried to name my dong then did the same line to a friend then offered the "back door" and a few other funny hijinks from the night). Good times. And btw, I label myself as a nice, Christian man, am active in my church, and am not embarrassed to tell the story if asked. I respect all you guys for your straight line beliefs, but you can be Christian and have fun with your buddies without compromising your salvation. Just my opinion. |
