i hope to look back on these lists someday.
but in the meantime, i just plain like making lists. also, plenty of these are from 2007, but i saw them in 2008. 1. the dark knight 2. no country for old men 3. burn after reading 4. my kid could paint that 5. juno 6. the king of kong 7. shooter 8. teeth 9. king corn 10. the darjeeling limited with special mention to - rocket science |

the dark knight was fantastic .
no country for old men had a problem : I didnt understand a damn thing they were saying Juno: was nice but not my type of movie , seen it and is more of a chick flick. |

I don't understand why Juno is so appreciated....but I do agree with what I've seen that's on your list.
Surprised Rocket Science was put up there - such a sleeper (but it's a great comedy). |

yeah, juno. . .
i did really like it the first time through. and i did see it in the theater because i really like michael cera. and i loved ellen page in hard candy. but i do have to admit, that it might not be on the list if my wife hadn't bought it and watched it over and over again. but the more i watched it the more i like it. it's funny though. i can easily see why many people didn't love juno. but i don't get it for no country. the endless battle between those two men was amazing. i thought it was both unique and epic. and the concept of getting old is very interesting to me. seeing the next generation taking over and doing everything differently. seeing your end coming. i'm still pretty young and i can only imagine what that would feel like. i thought that part of the story was well told. |
