I was really thinking about this most anticipated 09 list. Really I was hoping to start off 2009 here on CAG with a Blog that I will hopefully keep updated and start off with a 09 WANTED LIST. I guess it has that been there done that feeling to many readers since I believe there are already at least 2 but by the time I am done I am sure that it will be 100 or so most with the same crap. So thanks for taking a look at this and giving this new Blogger a look.
So here it is Joshnorm's Generic '09 Game List Most Anticipated Games: Ghostbusters Ever since this game was announced this has been a huge want for me. When I heard it was going to have the entire cast doing voice work I was even more excited. When I heard that some writers from The Office, Harold Ramis, and Dan Akroyd was going to write it I think I had to hide my excitement like a middle school boy with a book in front of my lap to hide my excitement. Resident Evil 5 I really loved RE4 when I played it on the Gamecube. Sure it had its flaws but it was one of my favorite games of the last generation of consoles. I hope this will live up to what RE4 gave us.Mad World It looks like Sin City. Its bloody and my Wii needs to have something to play. I just hope this pans out. But if I can play Sin City-esqe game then I am all for it. Bio Shock 2 One of my favorite games last year. The world of Rapture was great and the twists during the storyline caught me off guard. The teaser got my even more excited because I can just imagine that this will be bigger and better. Batman: Arkham Asylum As a comic fan I am hoping that this will be a Batman game that will be good. It looks pretty (Unreal Engine always does) and it has the voice work (Mark Hamil doing the Joker is a plus) so I am really looking forward to that. God of War III Its GoW on the PS3. I thought that the PSP God of War was really fun and was actually the 1st time I played the game. After I played that I got the first two games. I hope this lives up to the hype. Others to watch for one reason or another: Alan Wake: They will be good to watch to see if they continue to try to push Too Human on the world or move on to other projects like I dunno a sequel to Eternal Darkness maybe..Please? Or how about something that isn't worked on for years and is flawed and hated by most? Seriously who doesn’t want to know when it will get released? Or how about if it will even get released? Or when it does if it will be good or another Too Human. But needless to say I will be watching for it. Silicon Knights The PS3 in General This is supposed to be the year Sony finally breaks out. With more releases that are exclusive (even though a lot of exclusives are becoming non-exclusive ie: Final Fantasy) they have a few games that might help them gain ground (WKC, Uncharted, GoW, Killzone) It will be interesting to see if they can make this happen or if the public will go with a console with a larger library and a better online community. Also got to put into the mix that Blu ray players are becoming cheaper so a lot of people are buying stand alones in stead of getting the PS3. 100 Bullets I haven’t seen much from this but the premise of allowing me to play in Azzarello’s 100 bullets world is enough for me to want to play. I haven’t seen anything gameplay wise or anything about a set release date but damn. I want it bad. Well that’s it for me. Thanks for taking the time to read this long post.
