When searching through new release lists every week for CAG Foreplay, I often find myself bewildered by the latest and greatest gaming peripherals. These are things no true gamer can do without. Maybe I'll start working these into a section on CAG Foreplay, but for now I give you my pick for the most superfluous gaming accessory of the week: the Wii Remote & Nunchuk Holsters.

Thanks to DreamGear, never again will you have to be detached from your Wiimotes. Clip these bad boys to your sides and everyone around will know who is ready to lay down the law. *Pants are required and not included.

Purchase At Amazon $19.99 (Free Shipping on orders over $25)

Honorable Mention:

Coming in a close second is this new Logitech Wireless Guitar for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2.

Now Logitech is certainly known for their quality hardware, but $250 for a plastic guitar (even though it's made from wood, metal, and I assume gold) isn't exactly music to my ears. You do get a free gig bag and USB mic though!

Purchase At GameStop $249.99

$250 and it doesn't even work cross-platform? Wow.
Sadly, I do know the kind of people Logitech made this for and I'm sure they've already pre-ordered it.

I'd love that guitar, but the price is CRAZY.

Who would make such an expensive peripheral? Better yet, who would buy it?

can you play Steel Battalion on that guitar?

I better be able to play that guitar in real life as well. Love the Wiimote holster though, I'd feel like a cowboy, quick drawing my Wiimote.

$20 for those lame holsters? geez.

While the guitar is insanely priced, I agree that those $20 plastic Wii holders are among the most retarded accessories I've ever seen.

Granted most Wii accessories do fall in that category, though. :p

lol at the holsters. Holsters for anything is nerdy and for losers only. Dude, just use pockets!

(Of course, while writing this, I am wearing a Leatherman, Black Berry, and yo-yo case on my own belt... )

Yo yo case?! *mocks regis*

I think there should be a new podcast just to cover all of these wonderful (not) plastic accessories. Call it "Cheap Ass PlastiCast"
