I don't know what it'll be worth later on, but Dirge of Cerberus is kinda lousy.
And seconding SeanNOLA's comment about Front Mission 4. |

Be scared of the terrible awfulness that is Dawn of Mana, between that and legend of mana im convinced squeenix has just given up on the series.

RaD is a very unique game, damn shame it's part of backlog.

Go to GameCrazy if you have one.. they're all under $10 there, except KH2, which is $12.99, I think. PS2 and XB games have gotten super cheap.

@SeanNOLA: Yeah, I used to own Front Mission 4 but sold it for some profit a few months ago. Only played a few minutes of the first mission and died quickly. It seems a lot harder than FM3. But, hey, for $5 it's worth another shot.
@eatwithforks: I had to use a FAQ to figure out all the intricacies of how to even play Unlimited Saga, but when I figured it out, it quickly became one of the most rewarding RPG experiences I've ever had. I'm one of the very few who absolutely adore that game. Perfect 10/10 for me and I'm not kidding in any way. lol @blueshinra: I've been on the fence about Dirge for some time now. There are a select few that say it's not a complete trainwreck of a game and does, in fact, have some redeeming qualities. Also seems most people agree that the storytelling is wonderful so that could be worth $13 in and of itself. @mang9432: It's so strange that Driving Emotion even exists but for $2 I had to have it. It's actually a somewhat decent racing/tuning sim but pales in comparison to the Gran Turismo games in both graphics and control; it's just... wonky. @DaddyBoJangles: I've played about an hour of Legend of Mana and LOVED the way it looks but WOW -- it seems like someone forgot to put a VIDEO GAME in this cartoon. @youruglyclone: Yeah, I've been eying RAD for years, back when it was like $18. Now that it's $10, I have no excuse not to get it. It's so unique. Games like this just don't get made anymore. @Scorch: Nice! Thanks for the heads up on GameCrazy. I never think to go there but I will make sure I do and report my savings. |

If you buy Musashi, mute it. The voice acting is atrocious.

@AngellicLulu: You know, this could be a good thing. I was planning to do a blog entry on really great voice acting and really bad voice acting (probably focusing on RPG[-ish] type games since that's all I'm really playing these days).
Perhaps Musashi will provide just the inspiration I need! That or it'll be the one that finally makes me snap and go postal. FUN FACT: The Kingdom Hearts series is a spiritual successor to the PS2 Musashi game, designwise, that is. |

For some reason I thought there would be more games...

@thelonepig: Ha, you're not alone.
I kept checking and re-checking the Wikipedia lists to make sure I didn't miss any because the list did feel a bit empty. Though, if I was collecting Japanese games, the list would be about twice as long. The complete lists for whoever's interested: |

Dissolve: If you mean "wonderful" as "rips off several better Final Fantasy games" and "makes certain FFVII characters shadows of their former selves" and "gets totally batshit ridiculous toward the end". Still, I guess $13 isn't too bad a price for it, though I personally wouldn't pay more than $10.
Also, probably should've mentioned this before, but Grandia II is a solid game with a decent story and great battle system (played it on the Dreamcast). |

I've got all of those minus the Grandia games, the FFXI expansions, and the US version of Re: Chain of Memories.
I personally dug Dawn of Mana but it wasn't too great. I HIGHLY recommend the Drakengard games though. They'll seem sluggish/average at first, but once you power up your weapons/character and get deep into the story, you will LOVE it. Good luck getting the 5th secret ending on the first game though, it was probably the hardest gaming challenge I've ever done. |

If you're looking for the "Treasures of Aht Urgan" (or whatever it's called) expansion, drop me a PM. I'll let it go pretty cheaply because I have no use for it.

RAD is tough to find its still on my need to play list of games. Who doesn't love giant robots? FYI I was not a fan of the Bouncer at all.

The Bouncer was really short but not bad, kind of slow or boring I guess after awhile but not bad.

@blueshinra: Ha, now I think I'm even more interested in Dirge if only to see how lame it turned out. But, yeah, I'll have to wait for a really good deal before getting that one.
@Gameboy415: I owned Grandia II for Dreamcast but didn't play too much of it (I remember liking it but just already had a big backlog going at the time, then I ended up selling it for a little profit). I really want to play that one again though. I liked it a lot better than Grandia III. Yeah, $20 for Dawn of Mana is too steep for the mess of a game that it seems to be. I'll have to wait that one out. I predict a $10 drop in no time. Also, from what I've been reading about the Drakengard games, the die-hard fans totally LOVE it and are saying pretty much what you're saying: just give it time. Those two were already games high on my list right now so thanks for the input. @Halo05: I've got all the expansions on PC (well, minus the newest one) but I don't play FFXI anymore. I love it but it's simply too time -- actually too LIFE -- consuming. @kube00, mission42: The Bouncer I hear nothing but bad about. I guess my interest in that one lies in just seeing how the Tetsuya Normura character designs have aged. |

The Bouncer was one of the first games I played on the PS2. While it's not great or memorable, it was enjoyable for what it was, a beat'em up.

I actually liked the Musashi game on the PS2 but it may be because I had no expectations having never played the first one (Recently I did get the first one from ebay). But yeah, that voice acting makes you cringe. The voice actor who does Musashi is a women actually.
