If they existed, and the government had knowledge of them, then all our military contractors would have boners the size of the collectivity of Alex Jones' combined wacky conspiracies with the profits they'd make from R&D and development of...erm..."starfleets" (for lack of a better phrase), as we prepared to militarize space. After all, what's better for peace than building up our military?

So, yeah. There's nothing to hide from us, particularly when said knowledge would keep us, the public, docile, complaceent, frightened, and trusting of the government to spend all that is necessary to keep us free from the threat of the Gorgons, or Klingons, or Daleks, or in' whatever.

The idea that we're being lied to about the earth's knowledge of extraterrestrial beings is patently absurd when coming from the mouths of people who espouse ideologies that we are being led, globally, by a massive conspiracy of wealthy elites who want to do nothing but make us fearful so they can profit. I'm not sure if "UFOs" are real or not. But about 10-15 years ago I was looking out at the nightsky, just looking at the stars. And suddenly I just saw this speck of light, like any other star start to move really fast, and than stop, and it would fade and than brighten again, and than move the other direction. Till it than move out of my view. It was weird, don't know what it was, probably never will.

For me, UFOs are real... I've seen one on my way back to the Bay Area from LA a few years ago. It was like the size of a dime in the night sky (it wasn't the moon) and it was moving back and forth real fast... it was scary. :(

@freakyzeeky - I use th same size comparison when I explain the one I saw about 15 years ago in Indiana. I usually say it was about the size of a dime if you held it at arms length. As for me, we were driving along on eof those long, dark Indiana roads one night when I realized that the light in the sky in front of us was the moon wasn't. The moon was in my right window. We kept driving at a pretty high rate of speed for anothere 3 or 4 minutes and it didn't seem to move. Then it suddenly streaked across the entire sky leaving an afterimage in my vision for a minute or two. WEIRD.

Rogueweapon, you're somewhat a lets say "unique" person. I read some of your other blogs and I can honestly say we have conflicting disagreances. Although, when it comes to the subjects of existence outside of our own "realm" (and this is towards other life forms and not "God"). There is a significant similarity with consipiracy theories and ufo footage I like to point out. History has shown out of the many many conspirated theories there are some that show light. Lets say for an example the Watergate theory. Obviously, that conspiracy theory was the absolute truth. So like many ufo footages there will be a speck of light which shows that they're truly genuine. Also, to even undermine that through all the footages out there you believe each and every one of them are hoax then I'd have to call you out on bullshitting. Of course out of the many few are still unexplainable. The footages from the 2008 videos are probably the most "clear" video we have ever gotten and not only that, there were many samples of video throughout a period of time. The person who took these films obviously wanted to get everything right before he released it to the general public. While checking out that interview I also realized that the man whos part of the Turkey division of ufologist said they brought in experts of the field of computer images and graphics distortion. They also said they took an extensive time out to research and make sure that the footage they were handed to were genuine and the man said he will give out the footage to any institution to debate if it was genuine. I'm further intrigued with this footage, at first glance it looked like some sort of battlestar galactica footage, but the man took series of footages so I want to know after more experts and critics can disect the film.

Destructor, I never said that all other ufo footage is fake. I just think that this is some of the best evidence out there. The footage shot by that turkish guy is amazing and startling, and can stand up to scrutiny but still isn't getting real mass media attention. Why? If the corporated controlled mass media comes out and laughs at "ufo nuts" and "conspiracy theories" , they know 80% of the people will follow suit. Its a form of mind control, to keep you from asking questions. And they know that most people cant reason well and will accept what ever comes out of the talking heads on the box as the Truth. Out of curiosity, do you believe that Oswald was the lone gunman or do you think that just maybe there was something else going on there?
