ToV, Mirror's Edge and New Pick-Ups

I decided to take a break from Tales of Vesperia (360) because I think I'm near the end and I wanna do the sidequests later. I decided to check a sidequests guide and it's massive. In any case, the game is still going strong and I love it. I'll probably finish it later when I'm in the mood.

Because of that, I decided to open up Mirror's Edge (360) this week and played a good amount of it. I think I'm at the last level judging from the story. Anyways, I know people either love or hate this game. I'm actually in the middle. I love the movement and flow but I hate the combat like everyone else. But I had no problems disarming most of the cops from some trial and error. I was able to clear out all the cops in most levels with some strategic hit and run tactics. I haven't shot a single cop cuz I'm going for the no shooting achievement. ^_^

Anyways, It's fun and I love the world. It's quite unique and very pretty. I also LOVE the music in this game. The soundtrack is superb and fits into the game perfectly. But the worst part of the game are the cutscenes. Fugly 2D flash animations which look poorly animated and poorly written. The voice acting is good though. Oh well. I'll finish the game soon.

I also got some new pick-ups. There's a major gaming pick-up at the end of the month. I can't wait to share that with you guys.

Got:
iPod Classic 120GB - Replacing my Classic 80GB which died this week.

SMT: Devil Summoner (PS2) - In preparation for the sequel.

Killzone (PS2) and Killzone Liberation (PSP) - Same as above.

Metal Slug Anthology (PS2) and Mystique Premium Format Figure (SS Exclusive)

Polk Subwoofer - Nothing fancy.

My problems with Mirrors Edge weren't the combat. If you run around a bit and separate them, they're actually not too hard to beat. Instead, I had a fair amount of problems with the actual platforming. There's literally been times where I've had Faith jump towards a pole, hit the pole with her entire body, but she refuses to actually grab on to it. She just seems stubborn and retarded at times, thus creating for some serious problems (i.e.-continuously dying for no fault of your own).
