GTA DLC cards and 3 Months XBL from Amazon

This weekend the CAG front page pointed out that the DLC cards for Grand Theft Auto 4 were on sale at Amazon. Why would I login to a website, and pay for a card, and shipping, and wait for it to arrive in the Mail? Maybe because Microsoft using a Free 3 month Xbox Live card as the carrot.

So I had to do some quick Cag Math in my head.

I recently bought 4800 Microsoft Points for 41.97 (Circuit City), which brings my total for Grand Theft Auto DLC to 13.99.

I also bought a 13 month card for 30 bucks from Amazon the last time they had that deal active, which brings the cost of Xbox Live down to 2.31 per month.

So 13.99 + 6.93 = 20.92 is my cost for GTA4 DLC and 3 months of Live. Just a little bit more expensive than the deal that Amazon is offering. However, I would have to wait for the code to arrive, and since it doesn't ship until the 17th I would have to wait 2 days to start playing the DLC. It's a good deal, and If it wasn't one of my most anticipated games it would be a great deal. The shipping time just kills the deal for me.

Microsoft really should let Amazon sell DLC codes instead of retail gift cards something that can be activated and sent over email. There is no reason to have to ship these two items, they are just serial codes after all. Also, it would be cool if they let me preload the DLC like steam does, that way I won't get caught in the flurry of people trying to download this early on the 17th.

i dont know i have such a huge backlog right now that waiting a extra week or even two doesnt matter to much to me.

I bought it on Amazon, and shipping was free. I was going to buy the DLC anyways and don't mind waiting a few days for it. Figure the extra 3 months is icing. I don't have the patience to go to the Circuit City around here.
Shipping was free for me also. Can't wait.
