If you don't have a arcade stick, PS3 is probably a better idea. It was annoying to play at a friend's on 360 compared to the the D-Pad on the PS3 controller. But if you have an arcade stick, it shouldnt matter.

360: Game runs better and a larger online community
PS3 has a better D-Pad, but imo it's still a shitty controller to play with lol |

I recommend you buy both versions. PS3 has a better d-pad, but it's nice being able to play friends on both consoles.

Oh dude I just went through this lol. I'm like you with my 360 usually being my console of choice. However, the PS3 controller made my final decision. I actually ended up buying a fightpad anyways but I find that the PS3 version looks better to me. Plus, with the online community, it doesn't really matter because it's only 1v1. As long as there's 2 people online, then you're good to go.

Depends on if you're okay with using the 360 D-pad or going to get a fight pad/arcade stick for it, if so then get it for 360. My friend was telling me he was getting it for the PS3 because he wanted to match up against the crazy-skilled Japanese players online.
That or just decide by flipping a coin. |

I have both consoles and I got the ps3 version. I have a hrap3 stick and all my ps2 fighting games work on my ps3. plus any psn purchase like additional characters, I can download on up to 3 ps3s. make sure to install the game to the HD.

I have it for both consoles and I use the fightpad for both systems. To me, no difference; esp when you install the game.
The online was solid for both systems as well. Even when I used the wifi for the PS3, I experienced very little to no lag at all. |

My brother has a PS3 and an Xbox and claims the PS3 controller feels better for this game.
I only have an Xbox and the controls are okay...your thumb will start to hurt after a while but I think that's with any fighting game. P.S. I love the achievements too. Trophies don't compare. |

I don't know if I could ever buy the same game for full price on two different consoles within a month. This is CheapAssGamer isn't it? haha, I jest!

PS3 hands down. Better controller (for those that aren't part of the joystick crowd like me) and PSN has TONS of ppl who want to play online. Problem is up here in Canada it's getting had to find.

@guncrazy it runs the same on both one guy already confirmed it, and far as online goes it is great on psn. I would recommend getting it on ps3. Playing it with that 360 controller is just garbage unless you planned on buying one of those fighter pads.

If you're doing just default controller, not buying a pad/stick, then do it for PS3. If you're going to get a stick/pad, do it for the console you have the most friends on/system you can find the periphial for.
I would still lean to the PS3 version in the second instance, but either is fine if you're buying a pad/stick with the game. |

From what I've seen pick the system that you enjoy playing on the most, or just buy both versions. I picked PS3 due to the controller because sometimes I don't want to bust out the fightsticks and want a more relaxing game.

I went with the PS3 version. Arcade sticks aside playing with the PS3 controller feels much more comfortable that the 360 controller in my opinion.
