Punch-Out remains one of my favorite game series ever in both the arcades and the consoles. It's still the king of arcade boxing and I have no doubt that the game will sell big numbers to both audiences that the Wii has. I like the game and it looks like it will be a lot of fun. Nice to see that there will be new characters in the game like The Disco Kid. It's not going to be revolutionary but it's going to be great entertainment.

Meh for me. I still play the original often, so there really isn't too much of an interest for me. I'll get it someday though, just not until it drops to a low amount.

what bothers me most about this game, is not only does it look to be another waggle fest game with no real effort put into it by the developers, BUT the fact that they are going to sell it for $50.00, when its definately should be sold as a $20-$30(tops) game.
if nintendo and wii developers want to keep making gimmicky waggle games with no really interesting content... let them.... but god damn, dont try to rip of the consumer for $50.00 then..... |

I think it's funny how we just got finished having discussions about RE5 "racism" and haf of the Wii Punch-Out write-ups I've been reading are championing Nintendo's decision to leave the racism in tact.
Honesty though, I'm looking forward to renting this. |

Should have been a launch title. I think it looks great and I'm looking forward to it, but like any game I'll wait til I read reviews.

dude I was never a fan of Punch-Out in the old days. so I've been ambivilent towards the new one. I didn't 'get' the hype. Honestly with my budget I don't see myself picking it up. At the moment i'm gonna have to choose b/w MadWorld, Deadly Creatures, The Conduit and House of the Dead:Overkill. If I get all four of those games maybe I'll consider punch out. but to be honest I still don't have a

I loved the first two, but I didn't know the game was going to be $50 until I saw the comment above. That will likely make me think twice about buying it.

Nintendo should've just stopped after the original NES masterpiece. It is, to this day, still extremely fun to play and the graphics are timeless. It's the best punch out game in the series and no game will ever dethrone it, no matter how fancy the graphics and controls are.
With that said I still want to try it on my friend's wii. It looks fun. |

I prob won't buy it day one, but it there's a decent sale I'll pick it up. I have so few games for my Wii. Buyers remorse if ever I've had it.

BTW, I agree with those who think it should be no more than $40. I think this is a game that could be beaten in one sitting.

I think it looks awesome. I wasn't around playing NES for the original Punch-Out (played it years later) but I absolutely loved Super Punch-Out for the SNES.
I still remember going up against Rick and Nick Bruiser! |
