After searching for a game title, click the icon to pop-up a window with pricing information.

After typing in what you are looking for, you can filter your results by clicking on one of the tabs that pops up from the top of the search bar.

50 Cent BotS vs Backlog: A Cheap-Ass Dilemma

Hello any/all

Though I often post comments to the blogs of others, I've never posted a treastie of my own. Mostly, I've had nothing particularly gaming related on my mind other than actually playing. But I find myself conflicted so I thought I'd share.

Thanks to CAG and MicroCenter, I was able to get BotS for twenty and change. I played through it on normal (as I play all my games on normal except sports games where I bump it up a little). I had a great deal of fun with the game except for one little part where I couldnt switch to a sniper from my rockets. The sniper would have made that section trivial.

And that leads to the point. While mostlly a "tourist", I have a bit of a "completist" streak in me (see Mitch Krpata's A New Taxonomy of Gamers for definitions) and want to play through it again. Now if I had paid $60, besides wanting to shoot myself in the head for paying retail ) I would definitely playthrough again to get some value out of it. But since I got it at such a discount on such a new game, every CAG bone in my body says this should be kunai'ed to GS/Goozex. Everyday I delay, I know the value is slipping, but I've yet to pull the trigger.

It weirds because BotS isnt even currently in my 360. I've gone back to the backlog to polish off Bully (thanks Rebel FM Game Club). But I had sooo much fun with BotS I think I'll go back to it, even though my gaming history suggests I wont. Fortunately (or unfortunately depening how you look at it), the +50% @ GS ends this Sunday so I'll make a decision soon. It just bothers me that it bothers me. I know what the end result is (as I eye my day 1 Assassin's Creed that I havent touched since beating it a year ago).

Anyway, just stuff that was on my brain. Thank you for reading.

Trade it while it's hot! Buy it again next year when it's 10 bucks or less.

Like you, I thought BoTS was a heck of a fun game. However, I just beat it as well and I think I just might go back and beat it on hard and that will be about it. It's one of my favorite games right now, but I refuse to trade it in. I know that this summer, job search wise, it's going to be brutal. I'll probably end up playing some MUCH older titles but I'll return to BoTS to kill an hour or two in between.
