How long do you wear clothes before throwing them for a wash?

The other day, i was getting ragged by some friends when they noticed i was wearing the same jeans and polo shirt to go bowling that i had wore the night before when i went to see them to drop something off at their house.
i told them, whats wrong with wearing your clothes for more then 1 day/time. If it aint' dirty, then why clean it. They said that was just scummy and they would never be seen wearing the same clothes 2 or 3 days in a row. I said they were acting like women, and there was nothing wrong with wearing clothes more then a few days if they arent dirty. What do you guys think. I find no problem with it. Ill wear jeans for about 5 or 6 days before i wash them. I wear t-shirts about 2-3 days, and shorts about 2 days. Socks i wear for about 3 days. Somethings like sweaters and hoodies, ill wear for like a month before washing. the only thing i wash and change daily is underwear. i save a ton of time like this, and i dont feel theres anything wrong with it, considering just casually going out doesnt get the clothes dirty at all. Of course if i make a mess or do something dirty, ill wash the clothes, but most times, this is not the case and the clothes stay clean, thus i keep wearing them. your thoughts? |

Socks and shirts I wear once-twice and wash. Pants 2-3 times unless I go to a bar, then it's insta wash the next day. Rarely wash jackets or sweaters. Shorts 4-5 days, but I sit around in them all day. It's not like they get too nasty like that.

I wash my clothes daily, besides my hoodies which I don't wash for a week or so.
I don't wash my sleeping clothes (T-Shirt/Shorts) for a few nights as well. When I was kid, I'd wear my clothes without washing them for a long time lol |

For me, shirts will be worn once or twice, pants and shorts will usually be worn for a week or something unless I spilt something on them or I've just been really active, and socks usually gets changed out once every day or two. I don't see a need to change more frequently than that most of the time because all I'm doing is going to class and sitting around my apartment. It's not like I'm rolling around in mud or something.

Shirts - Once, maybe twice if I'm desperate or want to wear a particular shirt
Shorts and pants - 4-6 days, not straight though Socks - Once, unless they were a fresh pair from the night before Underwear - Only once. If I run out its time to do wash. |

I once wore the same pair of pants for an entire month. Actually, I rarely wash my pants. If I don't spill anything on them, and if they don't stink wear 'em away.
Shirts, underwear, and socks are one time use only. |

@nativetongue88
actually, i shower twice a day, sometimes 3. Clothes tend not to get actually dirty unless you make them dirty. If you just go out, and YOUR CLEAN, your clothes stay clean. and if your clothes stay clean, then why change them? as for socks, the reason i wear them so long is because im always moving a lot of stuff in my basement for my mom, where the floor is dusty and dirty, so i have a bunch of old socks i wear for long periods of time. If i go out though, i always wear a pair of my good socks. so for my good socks, i only wear once at a time, but the old ones around the house and such, i wear 3 days about |

Pants might go max of 5 days, but nothing beyond. Shirts twice maybe. Everything else, once. I work in an office so when I go home I usually change into something more comfortable.
It's funny I only have two pair of regular tube socks left. Everything else is dress socks. |

Underwear - once a month. if that.
Why change when no one is going to see them anyway? Seriously, it's a waste of time. .... just kidding, lol. |

2 days max (shirts) for me. Long as you don't reek, I don't much care what most other people do. Usually only wear shirts 1 day and into hamper they go. Pants? More like 5 days unless I sweat my ass off in 'em. Underwear... ONE DAY STRICTLY. Don't wanna risk

Aside from the stink, the problem is that you are wearing the same clothes several days in a row. If you at least alternated and mixed a few outfits, while still avoiding washing them, at least you could fool some people into thinking you're not a slob.

Never wear the same outfit 2 days in a row, that's just ghetto. Space it apart or change it up. Socks are worn once before hamper, jeans 2-3 times, t-shirts usually once, at most twice. Boxers daily (obviously) and undershirt (tees) daily.
You're kind of scuzzy dude. |
