Well, I'm sure 2 of you remember a while back that I made a blog entry about how I wanted CAG to pick a game that I was going to play. And after a long wait (I was going to announce the poll results last week... but I'm lazy), I bring to you the ending of "I want CAG to pick the game I'm going to play... sort of."

The winner is.... "I appreciate the rich plot development, why else would I play it?" AKA, Dead or Alive Ultimate for the Xbox, with 11 votes. I must say DarkNessBear came rediculously close to figuring it out. Anyway, for those of you who don't get the joke, it was actually a line from the Dead or Alive 3 commercial back in the day. As far as I know, DOAU never had a commercial, so I had to improvise.

Second place belongs to "How do these guys have girlfriends?" that got 9 votes. Sadly, it isn't 4Chan The Game Naw, I'm not dv8mad so I won't do that to you. but instead.... Bubble Bobble! For the Game Boy! The objective of the game is that you are Bub or Bob, these two little cute dinosaur thingies... but you have hot human chicks to make you sandwichs? And they get kidnapped or something? So it's your mission to complete 100 levels and send them back to the kitchen!

Third place is a 2 way tie between "I imagine Jason Statham would be good for this if they made it into a movie" and "Corrupted data" with 8 votes each. I imagine the first one was pretty easy to figure out that I'm talking about Driver for the PlayStation. The second one probably makes a lot of sense to those who played the game, maybe not as much to those who didn't.... And it is .hack//Mutation!

And to run off the rest of the list quickly....
5th place with 6 votes: "An earlier version of a series that jumped ship to the 360" - Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere
Tied for 6th place with 4 votes each: "Robot sidescroller" - Battle Unit Zeoth for the Game Boy, and "The first in the series to come to America" - Custom Robo on the Nintendo Lunchbox
Tied for 8th place with 3 votes each: "It was the last game they localized" - Growlanser Generations (Working Designs last game before they folded), and "It's an import RPG for the Wonderswan"- Digimon: Anode Tamer
Three way tie for 10th place with 2 votes each: "A card game that was never 'for sale'" - Air Hockey for the e-Reader (it was a freebie from Gamestop when the e-Reader was released), "Eight characters to pick from" - Mario Kart: Super Circuit, and "The characters really don't have much facial features"- Metal Gear Solid for the PSX. Seriouisly, Snake looks like somebody gave 2 shiners to a mannequin.
And coming in dead last at 13th place with one measley vote..... "An arcade racer that got remade" is GTI Club +, only available on the PlayStation Network.

And now that the contest is over.... I have to retrieve DOAU from my friend's house!

Random Thoughts!

So... where has ItsMeMark been? This leads me to my second point which is....

I'm going to find him! How? Third point is....

I'm going to Texas next week. And after looking at my hotel's address, it looked oddly similar to Mark's. Too bad I didn't save it from back when i sent him payment for the Valkyria Chronicles DLC or I really could stalk him. Then again... maybe the hotel's address looks familiar because he owns the hotel!!!! [Then again, I might just be confusing his address with someone elses.... But thats not fun... Unless it's the other person who I think it might be, in which case it's very fun]

On a completely different point, rumor has it that resident CAG dv8mad is starting yet another sale July 4th. Which probably means it's tomorrow night for us people one normal time schedules. LOL Japan and their half day time differences. THEY SO CRAZY!!!

So my mom was trying to remind me of some game I played whenever. Now the problem with that is her description are often very strange (like how Sonic is black and white like Felix the Cat). Anyway, her description was a game were a bunch of kids are in this mansion and they split up. And when I was playing, I was able to escape but I "lost" because I had to save the kids inside. I have no clue at all what game she's talking about. The closest thing I have to kids and a mansion is Rule of Rose. So I ended up playing the beginning of RoR and that wasn't it. Also, I noticed that there isn't a way to adjust the options during gameplay. I needed to up the contrast because the game was dark as shit on my TV. Anyway, to make matters worse, she seems to think that it's familiar to Fatal Frame, but yet when she looked into my game closet, she was looking at Dokapon Kingdom..... wut?

I found a Fall Out Boy remake of Beat It on Youtube yesterday. Apparantly it's a wee bit old but damn, I love it!

DOA:U is one great fighting game. It's in the top 3 of the fighting genre for me. I sunk hundreds, literally, hundreds of hours into that game. Love it. Love it. LOVE IT!

Be sure to hit up the FGT if you need some help.

^^Same, which is a little ironic. Out of the 500+ games in my collection, CAG somehow managed to find one of the handful that I've done literally everything in. At least with DOA2. I'll probably put some time into DOA1 since I didn't put too much time into that.
