Blackest Night #1 coming out July 15

Not gaming related but I figured there are a number of CAGers who are comic readers. I just got an email about this issue coming out next week which I cant wait to get my fingers on. What got me jumping is the possiblilty of getting a Black Lantern Corps Ring
 I am not sure if all comic dealers will be getting this or how many will be printed with the ring. Right now I put an order for three thru Midtown Comics.com cause I know my luck I would never get to the store in time to pick it. The last Green Lantern I read was Iron Lantern.. LOL.
Anyway, this sounds cool. How do I go about acquiring such a ring? |

Ugh, lucky on getting the ring. Eitherway I'm still going to pick it up next week. Curious, but you getting all the tie ins?

Well its the Green Lanterns so there tie ins are that bad I believe it will only go thru just the Green Lantern Corps, the Green Lantern series and Blackest Night. Its not as bad as the X-men I gave up on that series along time ago because there crazy amount of comics you have to collect to get the whole story.

I can't wait, I've been hooked on the GL books since summer '07 When we got the out of no where powerhouse that was the Sinestro Corps. War. Seriously I've been prone to chanting "Blackest Night! Blackest Night! Blackest Night!" whenever something reminds me of GL.

Blackest Night has had one of the GREATEST build-ups in comic book history I've ever seen. I hope this story is amazing.

Are you kidding me? Blackest Night has ASSLOADS of tie-ins.
Blackest Night: Batman Blackest Night: Titans Blackest Night: Superman I'm sure I'm missing one or two more, but each of those comics are about three to four issues long. Plus I believe there's a one shot or two to go alone with Blackest Night (kinda like Sinestro Corps one shot). Plus Tomsai and I believe Niceza are responsible for majority of this, add to this to the normal Lantern series as well. |

I dont mind how many tie-ins there are if they are going to handle it like they are doing with Dark Reign and release a comic pertaining to the story every week then its fine by me instead of waiting a whole month and getting all the issues in one shot you know what I mean?

In the early 90's I scored a free green lantern ring at a place called Collectors Comics in Wantagh, Long Island. One of the coolest pieces of schwag (sp?) I've ever gotten. I still have it.
