Hey CAGs!

It's been a while - lately, Twitter has been my primary outlet for expression. However, I just wanted to stop by to see how everything's going.

How have things been? Good? That's good.

Anyway, I also wanted to brag about how I got to play about 8 hours of Borderlands over the weekend.

Due to NDA's, I can't really say much. I'm pretty sure that I can say:

- Yes, the artstyle looks just like the trailer.
- I played two-player split-screen co-op.
- I reached level 24.
- I played it in their office in Plano, Texas.
- There are approximately 87 bazillion guns.
- I played as Brick, the Berserker.
- I played the XBox 360 version
- Unfortunately, it's not Games for Windows (oh, how I would've loved mouse+keyboard+achievements)

I don't believe I'm allowed to give any opinions, but let's just say that I went out and pre-ordered the game after my weekend session - which is a whole lot more than I can say about my experience playing through Ghostbusters pre-release.

EDIT: Listen to this week's Giant Bombcast for a pretty accurate preview.

Oh, and I also know what Gearbox's next game is.

Peace!

-House

Two-player split-screen co-op with the ability to gain levels along with 87 bazillion guns.

Sounds like something I'll buy when it's released.

(Haven't really been looking into info on this game, I figured I would have just read a few reviews and hear some people's opinions to see if it was good or not)

I am very excited for this game, and also very jealous that you got to play it.

I'm a sucker for anything with good local multiplayer.

How did you enjoy BiA: Hell's Highway?

Good local coop means automatic purchase for me. Thanks for the heads up, this isnt my type of game and I probably never would have known

I have been excited about this game for the longest time. It's been on my must buy list for a while now.

Is it Halo 6?

You reached level 24 in 8 hours? I guess I'm used to Fallout's system of leveling up once every 8 hours (exaggeration).

Do you know what the level cap is and if so, are you allowed to share it with us?
Treehouse Gamer's Avatar
I know what the cap is, but I don't think I'm allowed to say.

I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to expect a Fallout-like epic; It's probably more akin to Diablo II.

I saw some of it on an episode of X-Play. It looked kinda interesting. Sounded like a cool concept.

cell shaded graphics might work or hurt this game, especially in a less controlled version than the beta that they are presently showing.
