I hate my brothers, I love my brothers

As you see, I am the youngest out of the family and if you're like me, expect to be pushed around by your older siblings, especially if you're an adult.
So, yesterday, I asked my oldest brother to help me out in financing another car. I was planning to purchase another Integra, a 2001 4 door model for $5000. He got the money and was going to give it to me today. So this morning, he called me, gave me all the details and gave me the blah blah about I shouldn't crash my car blah blah blah. Get full coverage blah blah blah (Which I'm going to anyway). Then after a heated argument, he just said he'll talk to me later. Then an hour passes by and my other brother called...he's the middle child and the so called enforcer of the family. He told me that my older brother was stressing out about this and I shouldn't buy another car blah blah blah...just pay the $2000 blah blah blah. After that argument, I said fine, I'll "revive" the car and hung up. So just like that, my middle brother just gave me a reality check. It's a hard pill to swallow but I know he's right about it. Therefore, I decided to repair my Integra. I already took it to my mechanic and he got it towed from the place where it was storage at to his shop. It should be less than $2000 than what the guy originally quoted for but we'll see. |

I know the feeling! I'm the "baby" of my family too, while there may have been a few good times being the youngest, it also comes with a lot of not so great moments. There is nothing worse than when your older sibling ends up being right, especially after an argument.
So, unfortunately I know how you feel. It definitely isn't the best feeling, but hopefully ends up being the best decision in the end and you can thank him later, maybe |

If your oldest brother is willing to give your 5k for you to get another car (sounds like your crash cars alot) Then your lucky as hell.

Haloman- This is actually my first car accident. And it's not luck, it's helping your fellow family member out.

On the plus side you won't need to hunt for a new car and you'll save some money.

if that 2K covers everything from the bumper, axle work, paint job...than I would definitley repair it. The damage was bad but if only 2k to repair it..than do it.
How many miles did the 01 have? if it had under 100K than that would have been a good deal. Sicker deal if it was a GSR or dare i say Type R. I think it sucks that he didn't lend you the money. He said he was going to at first, but then pulled back? thats like going against their word. he should've just said all that before he agreed to give you the cash. Family or not, that sucks...but yeah hopefully in the end it works out, you dont have to pay payments and you dont owe anything. Good luck man. |

Driving something you earned is a hell of a lot more satisfying than driving something that was given to you.
This applies to almost everything in life. You're not really an adult until you can pay for your own shit. |
