This was by far my best week since becoming a CAG. As a matter of fact, I'm not even sure if I remember all the games I got this week , so once again I'm a very happy CAG. This week I actually found so many good deals I had to pass on several games, I believe I skipped 5 games .

I started the week taking advantage of Gamestop's sale on Tuesday. Spent half of my vacation day at home waiting for it to go online (hoping it would) so I didn't have to deal with Gamestop in store, gutted games, going from store to store, etc. In the end it finally did come up and I was able to get the three games I wanted (albeit with some issues and passing on two of the games I wanted) and luckily I didn't deliberate too long and thought about it the night before the sale since it ended up only lasting one day. In the end I got:

Wario Land Shake It: $20
Animal Crossing: City Folk: $20
Excitebots Trick Racing: $20

Fortunately they all came brand new and sealed, unfortunately I've only had time to play Excitebots, but least it was a lot of fun.

After that I found a mall not too far from where I live that has a Best Buy, Toys R Us, Sears, Gamestop and F.Y.E. so it is kind of a one stop shop for some good deals.

Went to Best Buy, couldn't find anything of interest this time, pretty much bought everything I wanted last week. Didn't go to Toys R Us because I was there last week and didn't see anything of interest and there was nothing in the ad I wanted this week either. Stopped in Gamestop, didn't find anything in there either (other than a WiiMote charger themed to Rayman Raving Rabbids, which would look perfect with Mario, but I read it doesn't charge very well, so I skipped it... Although, I'm still considering it because the only thing is the reviews said it is hard to get the connectors to fit right, so it doesn't always charge, which I had the same problem with my old charger too, so it isn't a huge deal. I have regular rechargeable batteries too, I just fine the chargers to be convenient. So I'm thinking I may get it just for display and if it charges, well then all the better. However, I feel that is very non-CAG of me , but I'm tempted. It is $30, which is the same as what I paid for Mario, but it is quite a bit smaller and I can get an induction charger or whatever that works good for about the same price, but it just won't look as good. )

Sears was my first place to get a good deal at the mall. I actually went twice because the first time I went I wasn't prepared (didn't know Sears was even there ) When I went back with the UPC's ready to go today I didn't find anything. Everything that was available was pricing close to full price, but everything that wasn't available was pricing right, so I will keep checking back for more. But, yesterday I was able to get:

The Simpson's Game (PS3): $4.97

So overall I was happy there. Then I decided to stop by F.Y.E. the one I went to where I used to live never had any good deals and never really had many games, so my hopes weren't very high. However, when I got in the store I was shocked to see the huge selection of games and some pretty good prices on some clearanced items. So yesterday I picked up:

Limited Edition Halo 3: $9 (After mail in rebate) (Sealed)

When I was checking out the lady persuaded me into signing up for the VIP program (normally I don't have a problem saying know, but I was just in the mood to spend money to save money .) So, I ended up saving an extra 10% off full price and will get a $20 gift card for signing up. Of course I plan to cancel pretty quick as I don't really want to pay for it every month since I don't think I would use it that much, she claims it was easy to do, so we will see.

So when I was there yesterday one of the employees gave me one of Brown Bags for 20% extra trade in credit. Since I was going back to Sears anyway I decided to take two games I was considering trading to see what they would offer. They didn't have Rig Racer 2 in the system, so I still have it (Gamestop was giving $1.75, so I think I may hold on to it, I think Amazon still gives $2, it was $3 but I didn't trade it fast enough ), but they did have Sonic Rivals and I ended up getting $6 for it. Not the best price, but still a lot more than I can get elsewhere.

While I was there I took another gander and this time also picked up:

Lost Planet (PS3): $0.00 (After rebate) (Game was not sealed, but it was in perfect condition and looked like it was never touched, so I figured it was good enough to not pass it up )
Dragon Quest Hero's Rocket Slime: $5 (After rebate) (Sealed and I have no idea what this game is, but it looked interesting, so I grabbed it)
Coby 1gb MP3 Player and Case: $0.00 (After rebate) (Don't need it, but will probably give it to Toys for Tots or something like I usually do)

Again, I got an extra 10% off because of the VIP pass, so in the end I will actually get more back than I spent, so that is a really good deal. I'd love to keep the VIP pass because the savings is great in store, but it just isn't worth $120 a year to me, too bad though because it is the first program I've ever considered paying for.

Anyhow, so that was my week of savings for this week. Overall, I couldn't be happier . I had a lot of fun hunting for games and getting some good deals (I felt like I had success) I had good experiences and no real issues, so now my next step is to make sure I get my rebates back from F.Y.E. I didn't purchase anything I would have normally got, but for the prices it was well worth it, so I just hope I don't get stuck with the bill since I've never used their rebates before and don't know how good they are.

Now, I'm hoping next week calms down a little bit because I'm getting too many games, but these deals have been too darn good to pass up!

By the way, let me know if my smilies are too annoying. I love smilies and have a lot of fun with them and have never seen such a big assortment, so I think I may go over the top, so if they are annoying I can stop.

Till next time everyone,

I just spent like an hour trying to get the price tag off the case for Lost Planet. Since it was the last one I had to take the one on display and the case was in perfect shape, other than the price tag. When I bought the game yesterday the sticker pulled right off and I didn't think it would be an issue. So I couldn't get it off and needed it to mail in the rebate and had to be extra careful with it. I tried using a knife (like a scalple type knife) and ended up going through the out sleeve of the case.

I ended up having to use Goo-Gone to get the sticker off (which I was trying not to do so the tag wouldn't be all greasy) and I got it off, it ended up getting on my manual and stuff a little bit, but it isn't too bad and I can live with it.

Anyone have any suggestions on where I could pick up an extra case for PS3 if I wanted to? I'm not even sure if I'm going to keep the game, so if I don't keep it, I don't care that it has the tear in it, but if I do I want it to look as nice as all my others.

I know I'm crazy, but I'm just really, really particular about my cases. I try to keep things looking nice and then do something stupid like this

Thanks for any suggestions

I've heard of some websites that sell cases and manuals but I don't remember any sorry.
Thanks, I will look into and see if I can find anything.
