Xbox 360 disc based exclusives have been weak in 2011 (compared to other years IMO) |
|
I really like the Playstation, but I definitely don't like the Xbox because I'm a fan boy. But like, all the 360 exclusives this year suck so far. Like Crysis 2. Crappy shooting mechanics, gay stealth, and overall bad. I'd much rather play mod nation racers, plus I have all my friends on PSN and I can play Singstar on it too. That's all I need! Plus all the XBLA games suck so far. The ones on PSN are way better visually because theres a lot more that are anime influenced that interest me more. Everyhing on XBLA is all military games and shooters. I like how on PSN I can get gamse like Arcana Heart and Bionic Commando Rearmed 2. And all the good games are use the Kinect on the Xbox! I don't have one and don't want one so I wont ever play those games so they are not good. I like the Move better and the innovative games that came out on the system this year like the gun controller that makes shooter games so immersive like Killzone 3 and Motorstorm that are so immersive. Plus...

Xbox 360 disc based exclusives have been weak in 2011 (compared to other years IMO) |
|
First off, I will say that I own all current platforms. Every single platform available has games I like. I tend to weigh consoles/handhelds by exclusive games. When I go that route, Xbox 360 is very weak IMO, especially when it comes to retail disc exclusives. For those who buy every multi-platform game on 360 (or those who only own a 360), I could see a good reason to have plenty of games to enjoy on the platform. However, if you are like me where PS3 is the primary platform for multi-platform games, the Xbox 360 continues to become less and less appealing. For sure, I could say I bought way less exclusive games in 2010 than 2008 as an example.
When I look at the exclusives released this year, I do not see anything worthwhile on Xbox 360. What come to my mind first are a few Kinect games such as a Kinect version of Carnival Games. Since I don’t own a Kinect more after selling mine, I just haven’t had a single game to buy for my 360 this year. When looking at... |

Lions, Tigers, and PSN hackers; oh my! |
|
At first, the PSN being down did not effect me. Hell, I didn't even know the network was down until Monday when I am reading articles about all the disgruntled PS3 gamers who couldn't play online over Easter weekend.
Since I primarily play the single player story and don't really do any online gaming, I didn't really give two shits about it. The news at first was an "external intrusion" with a rumor about some rebug cfw that was allowing people to use bogus credit card numbers to download games. Then this morning there are several articles about PSN being hacked, I get an e-mail from Sony about the breach, and a CAG forum is overflowing with posts ranging from

My "Review" - 3DS
By 1NintendoFan 04-27-2011 01:42 PM

|
I have been meaning to post this for a few weeks now but I keep forgetting and/or running out of time. So, I'm finally going to post it today! As you probably already know I received the 3DS for my birthday at the beginning of the month. Now that I have had some time to use it I thought I would post my overall opinion on some of the main features of the system. I will probably forget to include some things, so if you have any other questions, feel free to ask. So, let's get started!

I promise to improve! |

Okay so panzerfaust has inspired me to work harder at my game reviews. I highly recommend checking out their posts to see how blog game reviews should be done. Look for a proper showing of what League of Legends is all about this Saturday afternoon from me. Also, I'll do a quick review Friday of Desktop Dungeons for practice. *edit* HAHA, stupid interface, I figured you out and now have blog categories! |

My thoughts and prediction on Playstation network
By MikeydCT 04-27-2011 08:41 AM
|
|
I decided to throw my two cents in about the Playstation network being hacked. First of all, I am one of the 75 million that were hacked, after hearing this yesterday I change the email and passwords to most of the other accounts I made using the email I used for PSN. Early this year GeoHot Hotz hacked the PS3, early this month Anonymous hacked PSN and last week was hacked again. I would like to know did Playstation after being hacked for the first time change anything to make sure it wont happen again? Did they find out how GeoHot Hotz did it and made it so it wont happen again? My guesses are that they didn't, after something like that would happen I would be hiring ether him or other hackers to help improve PSN so it couldn't be hacked. Now I don't know if anyone in the real world has ever done that before, that would never work in real life or I'm watch to much TV. Last night when the story broke I was watching a live stream of Lordkat. He was explaining how the information ...

Sony stop being so trusting
By Loonknight 04-27-2011 05:47 AM

So I've been thinking about this Sony PSN business since it went down. As I'm sure many of you who have vested interest in gaming and the future of gaming have.
It is indeed very messy overall. I just feel Sony was just too trusting of all of their users this generation. Sony Company: Hey let's be nice and give some Other OS users a chance to play and make some homebrew and just enjoy this little part of our system. We can even sell some to the U.S. government and have computer banks. Sony Customers: What is this Other OS business? Other OS Users: Cool. Thanks Sony. Now I can use Linux and try to make some cool stuff. Other OS Hackers: Bwhahahahahahahaha only a matter of time now before we get access to PS3 games. Time to get cracking. ![]() Sony: Hmm, this seems like it was not a good idea afterall. Sorry honest... |

Can you guys recommend me some Laptops for college? |
|
I'm about to go to college, and my parents told me to choose my laptop for graduation.. I need one because I'm pursuing architecture; got countless recommendations and connections from drafting teachers
I need it for CAD, "The Sims" fest, Steam (To be able to play my Portal 2 -.-), L4D, Photoshop or video editing, etc. btw I want to play my games in 60fps with at least high settings. I basically need a multimedia gaming laptop. I want it to look sexy too but I want to know good specs laptop first. And a mid-range size screen that is light. I'm thinking of Vaio, or Alienware. But I want you guys to help me instead; instead of me relying on brand-names. My price range is around 600-1100$ thanks! ![]() --------- Btw please not a Mac -.-; I have nothing against them but I hate how slow I am when I'm using one. ![]() Here are the ones I'm thinking of getting: ... |

Sony must be held responsible for their part in this PSN fiasco |
![]() "Where is Kevin Butler in our time of need to sooth our fears over with smarminess? Have we been forsaken?" - Robert Goode, aka Shipwreck I wasn't planning to write a followup to my 'PlayStation Network is down' post from last week but today the official PlayStation Blog revealed that all PSN users personal information has been stolen by a hacker. This includes your address, email, birth date, password and even possibly your credit card information. The Playstation Network will be back online (in some capacity) next week week with restructured security but it seems the damage has already been done. Sony must be held responsilbe for not only the short comings in their security but the delayed notification to all PSN users of this breach. "Your personal data and (maybe) credit card info were stolen and Sony didn't tell you for a week. The console wars are over." Justin McElroy, Joystiq... |

League of Legends (an addiction) |
|
Okay so I've decided to start writing a blog on here for no other reason than to talk about games I'm addicted to. This will change month-to-month because I (usually) have a very short attention span and a somewhat obsessive personality where I'll be addicted to a game for a while, get really far into it, then just wander off to something new and shiny.
Surprisingly enough League of Legends has held my attention longer than any other game I've played since Final Fantasy XIV and World of Warcraft. League of legends is free to play, but whether you pay or not doesn't lessen the enjoyment value you get out of it. Paying for certain items/champions doesn't give you and edge, just gives you more options sooner than if you worked for them by earning Influence Points (which can also be used to redeem for the same things). I'd describe the game as a combination of StarCraft meets Diablo and it's 100% pvp. There's two game styles; 3v3 or 5v5 and you... |

PSN - Awaiting the Next Kevin Butler Commercial |
|
With the recent update from Sony saying that people may have had personal information stolen, I finally feel the need to post my first blog entry.
What the hell, Sony? As one of the biggest electronics companies in the world, how could something like this happen? How could you, a company that has between 50-100 million people using it's PSN service, not have the security to avoid something like this? Now don't get me wrong, Sony. I am not putting the blame entirely on you. I know the true blame goes to the hacker(s) out there who have possibly stolen this information whether it be for a rush, to purposely hurt others, or even prove a point. However, millions have paid for a product that should be protecting private information for those who purchased it. And if that wasn't bad enough, then the information was held from the public and even worse, the people who it may be effecting. Now, you may not have known exactly how problematic this was going to be. You... |

Why You Don't Need To Worry About Your PSN Info Being Stolen
By whoknows 04-26-2011 05:27 PM
|
|
Ok, so information just came out today that a lot of our information has been stolen off PSN. Now, usually I'd find this unacceptable, but it was hackers that did it, so everything should be ok since hackers have an honor code they follow.
So no need to worry about your credit card information. If it was stolen and a hacker decides to use it I'm pretty sure it's safe to assume that they will be using it wisely and paying it off in full at the end of the month. So when you see your credit score start going up, know you should be thanking both the hackers and Sony for letting PSN be hacked. Now, while hackers do have their code of honor, there is one thing you need to worry about. Apparently they also got your password reset security question and answer, so if you put your pets' name in there you're pretty much ed. If the hackers know your pets' name they'll hack their loyalty and take your pet away, so say goodbye now, and let your pets know that they will... |

Could Sony's PSN Be their "RROD"? |
|
Sony, despite being in last place, hasn't had any major problems with PS3's (in contrast to the xbox 360).
Playstation network has been down for a week now, and sony hasn't told us anything really. Apparently hackers attacked the network, and at this time it's uncertain why exactly. If, these hackers managed to get into the personal info over 70 million PSN, including credit card info, this could be a major problem. Is sony reliable though? I never fully read their TOS, but i would think it wouldn't have said "Oh, were not reliable if hackers steal all your info." I would assume, if this is the case, they will be held liable, and there's going to be a lot of unhappy playstation owners, and it's going to cost sony a LOT of money. what are your thoughts? Oh, and gotta love IGN for making this page answering if PSN is back up yet or not: ... |

PSN pooling!

Yeah, I didn't think it would take long b4 people started pooling when the network would go up. What do you guys think?
A. Tomorrow B. Tomorrow C. Tomorrow D. If it's not tomorrow I hope everybody involved gets impaled in a public forum and pissed on at the same time For some reason I am going with E. (Even if it comes up tomorrow D should happen) I think that Sony is busily preparing for an E3 announcement of a new PSN! One that works? |

Is Portal 2 a Gay Recruitment Device?
By adriley313 04-25-2011 10:37 PM
|
|
I saw this article and almost pissed myself laughing?
http://christwire.org/2011/04/is-portal-2-safe-for-the-christain-family/
As a Christian father, I choose not to allow video games into my household, but occasionally my boys will have sleep overs with other Christian families that might be more lax than ours. Imagine my surprise the other day when I overheard my second oldest boy talking about a video game he had played at a friend’s house. As soon as I heard the name “Portal 2”, my suspicions grew and I immediately found myself wondering which body part the game might be referring to. I rushed to the computer that I keep locked away from my impressionable children, and what I found was truly disturbing. Just 10 minutes of Bing research produced so much evidence that this game was a homosexual recruitment tool that I have now forbidden it. You better believe that I called the other father and gave him a good talking to. As a devout Christian, he agreed with me and has now burned his Portal 2 DVD on his barbeque grill to make sure this threat to his family is gone for good. Here are some of the things I have learned: This game is made by Valve software, a wholly owned subsidiary of NAMBLA – the people who invented child molestation. Just the name “valve” produces images in the mind of a Christian man that should not be there.
Some of the pictures are just so funny. The Room of Black Dildos Glory Holes in the Game Some of the stuff he says is just off the wall. Valve is owned by NAMBLA
that created molesting children, dang i thought it was the church
. The robots are gay and how does this man know what a bear and bottom are in the gay comunity. What do y'all think of this Portal 2 DVD? Do you wanna join the gay army, molest children and go to dark bath houses to hide your guilt ridden faces? Not me and im a gay man. Also check out the other stuff on their site, Christwire. |
