If you read my other blog. I mentioned I sold a item on ebay, and the buyer never got it. After it stayed there for a extremely long time. Needless to say the day of that blog I sent him a message on ebay, and also sent a regular email to his actual email address. It has been 1 week and 2 days. No reply. No nothing. Now I ask you cag. Should I give him his money back anyway or should I still wait on a reply?

On another unrelated note. I ordered two games from gamefly. One came extremely fast, and the other has yet to arrive.

Rand Paul (the son of ex-presidential candidate Senator Ron Paul) lives near my hometown of Bowling Green, KY and is running for one of Kentucky's Senate seats next year in 2010. He's already got posters and stuff up, which in my opinion is a bit too early to be campaigning, but eh, that's his choice.

My family has known Rand Paul (known to us simply as Dr. Paul) for some time. Before my father passed away this year, Dr. Paul was his primary eye-care physician. My dad had diabetes, and the problems with his eyesight that came from it, and Dr. Paul performed several corrective eye surgeries on my dad. Up until he started seeing Dr. Paul, my dad was practically blind and could hardly see at all. After a series of surgeries, my dad's eyesight was almost fully restored, and in the year leading up to his death, my dad was grateful every day of being able to see once again. When my father passed away this summer, Dr. Paul personally offered his sympathy to my family.

A couple of weeks back my mom did the best thing ever for me and bought me the camcorder that I desperately wanted for christmas. It is a very expensive camcorder that records in HD and uses Mini DV tapes, producing the maximum image quality that I wanted so badly. One of the main MAIN reasons that I wanted this camcorder was so that I could record my upcoming trip to Taiwan/Japan next month. I leave on this trip on the 31st. Problem is, my camcorder is on its way to the service center right now, and I don't know when it will come back.

The camcorder will not eject the tape that is in it. It's a Canon VIXIA HV40, and the tape eject mechanism is motorized, so the tape is stuck in there. The tape has important footage on it, I can't simply record over it and send it in after the trip, and I need more than an hour's worth of tape to record on.

The camcorder should be arriving at the service center tomorrow, and from then, they told me that it will take 2-3...

How hard could it be to put this feature in? I mean all of the PixelJunk games have it.

Why the hell doesn't Megaman 9 or MK II have it? If the the upcoming Megaman 10 game had remote play, I'd be more likely to buy it on PSN.

My last (and first and only) blog was a general inquiry into what others thought a good media player would be; in this, my second (final?) blog, I would like to review a few media managers I've tried. This is not comprehensive and will be pretty short, but a recent forum thread has sparked my interest in this again and blogs are fun to write. Also please note I will not be doing much research into current features and such, as this is more a review of things tried in years past, and the conclusions drawn. I do feel these conclusions will still stand, but maybe not all my facts will be straight. But this is a blog and not news so please bear with me

First off, I have probably 600 dvds/blu-rays/hd-dvds, maybe 100 games. I've cataloged my movies a few times before, but then somehow lose the program or database I was using, buy more movies, and have to start over. I am currently in the process of re-cataloging everything, so I am not sure of the exact amount, but I have enough...

While most of my recent blogs show me turning into a more normal person, I'm going to take a step back and admit one strange thing about me.

For a while, I thought I was the only person in the world who hated different food touching each other on the same plate, but I found out one of my best friends online was the same way, along with my co-worker's nephew. Some might wonder what am I talking about right here? Basically, you are fixing a plate of food for Thanksgiving. Someone places rice, turkey, greens, dinner roll, etc. on the same plate. And when they move the plate around, food may overlap and fall on top of each other. For many years, having various foods touch each other on the same plate disgusts me. I can't explain why, but it does. Its like it alters the taste of the food, or appearance of the food (like make it soggy, add crumbs to it, etc.). That is why when I my parents were putting food on my plate or myself, I'd place everything on separate plates....

I've been very behind in my CAG blog. I have TV questions and WiiWare questions that require community input but I've been slow to do it because i need my camera to take pictures and my sister mailed me my camera back without it.

Anyway and some of you know I have a little tumor in my brain. A little 2cm growth near my pituitary. Turns out maybe I'm not supposed to be so tall, but I'm barely 2inches taller than my father so who knew. To make a rather long and boring story short I'm in Canada to get it taken care of like an unwanted pregnancy. They'll actually be using the same equipment. (i kid) My condition is very operable so it could be much worse it could be inoperable and that would suck. Seriously you have no idea how much trouble I'd be in with just about everyone I know if I was dying. Instead I'm so operable I've been waiting for about 13 months now. Presumably while they take care of the peeps who will die in less than say 10-12 years.

The Checkmate Arcade video game podcast is holding a contest for it's second annual Golden King Awards show highlighting the two hosts picks for the best in videogames in 2009, and it's your chance to win a free console points card!

The contest is the same as last year where participants will try to guess what myself and co-host darkbossman will pick in will pick as the winner of each of 17 categories (with 4 exceptions where only one of us pick a category.).

The 2nd Annual Golden King Awards episode will come out the first full week of January. The winner of the contest will receive a $20 points card courtesy of the show for the console of their choice (Microsoft Points, PSN, or Nintendo Points.)

In each category we both pick (13 of them) you will get 1 pt. for correctly guessing one of our picks, or 3 pts. if you correctly guess both picks. In the 4 categories in which only one of us picks, you get 2 pts. for a correct answer.

While not as good as the contenders on my list, these are really exceptional games that are a blast to play. There’s not really anything wrong with them except that they just weren’t as good as the games on my Contenders list. That’s not entirely true as there are some problems I had with each of these games at some point. Anyway, here’s why these games are here.

- Punch-Out!!!
One might say I’m a nostalgic fanboy about this one, but as someone who never played any of the previous iterations of Punch-Out past the first fighter, I can clearly say that this game is amazing. The style, combined with the animation is awesome combination. The standard controls are definitely good to get you past the first stage of the game with minor difficulty, but when it comes to Title Defense, you really need to switch to the Classic style controls just for better reaction times.

I've decided that to start a new series where I'm going to expose the issues of Madden for all of CAG to see. The purpose of this new blog is to showcase the issues that Madden has. You can't ask for a better game unless you're aware of exactly what the issues are. Plus understanding the issues of Madden will make you a better Madden player.

Madden is supposed to be a "Simulation" game. But have you guys ever asked, what is the difference between the difficulty settings? How does the A.I. operate at each level of difficulty setting?

The Madden CPU aka SKYNET, at the higher difficult setting will not increase the level of A.I. it will instead implore a set of tactics that give the "Illusion" that the computer is performing better when in-fact that they are not. It is this illusion that I'm going to demonstrate to you via videos from users apex, versus2, moddy and others.
