Welcome to the Wacky Feedback Extravaganza!

By Rozz 08-07-2008 06:21 PM
We live in an age where anyone - regardless of I.Q. or mental status - can voice their opinion online. This is especially true for online feedback on popular auction sites such as Amazon and eBay, where sometimes you'll run across some rather... shall I say, peculiar feedback from time to time? Here is a compilation of some of the more oddball feedback I've read while spending time on Amazon:

"nasty and dirty the head set is covered in ear wax and dirt and the package even smells like ass."

"I did receive my package prior to 5.28.08. The problem is that never in my life have I seen such a disgusting package in my life. The box looks like it was found in the basement after a flood. I used gloves to open the package because it was just that horrible. The contents...

I hate Brett Favre

NEW JERSEY - August 7th 2008. Brett Favre (above) had another teary eyed press conference after the announcement that he had been traded to the jets, a move that will surely sink him into oblivion with a horrible team with no playoff hopes. When asked about the trade Brett had this to say "It's unfortunate that I've been traded to a team that doesn't have young talented receivers to hide my gross shortcomings as an overrated quarterback. I'm disappointed the NFL didn't make a new expansion team for me to play on so that I could pick and choose the league's elite players and coaches to come play with me" Following the interview he revealed more of his true colors by crumbling to the floor kicking and screaming "I should have never agreed to be on the cover of a stupid videogame."

John Madden was on hand and had this incoherent statement, "Only Brett Favre is tough enough to...

Vay 1.1 is out (iPhone RPG)

By crunchewy 08-07-2008 05:40 PM
FYI, a significant update to the first (and currently only) RPG for the iPhone/iPod Touch, Vay, is out now on the App Store. Version 1.1 adds pretty much everything that's been requested. Item descriptions; equipment shows who can wear it; etc. Mind you, I have only installed it and run it just long enough to see that it was working. Oh, and yes, I will have a full review of Vay later on, after my upcoming Chimps Ahoy! review, and after I get a bit farther in the game.

Mana Knight <3 Theme Parks, Especially Roller Coasters

As some of you may know, I’m into theme parks. I enjoy riding roller coasters and willing to ride any roller coaster out there. The bigger/faster the coaster is, the better. I would get angry being with a group of people who only wanted to talk, because I go to theme parks to ride roller coasters and go on other attracts. Throughout this blog entry, I’ll share some of my favorite theme parks I’ve been to.

Cedar Point was my favorite theme park, because it has the most roller coasters. I went there once when I was a little kid, every year for about 6 years straight since 3rd grade, and once during a senior trip in high school. I haven’t been there since 2002, but I’ve enjoyed my time there. I’ll admit I never had the chance to fully enjoy the park, due to going with someone who wasn’t eager to ride as many roller coasters as me (one friend just complained about long waiting, others just wanted to talk, my sister was too scared to go on certain rides when younger). ...

My Date With 3 Gay Men

By Krymner 08-07-2008 02:16 PM

My girlfriend got off work early yesterday, and beat me home. So, she was there at the apartment when I came in about 6:00. She innocently asked me where I had been, because she had tried to call me when she got home and realized I wasn't there. I explained to her that I had turned my cell phone off and forgot to turn it back on. "So were have you been then? she asked.

I casually replied "Oh, I went on a date with these three gay men."

It all started at work. There's this gay guy that works with me. I won't use real names, so I'll just call him "Cartman". He is kinda heavy, and can be obnoxious, and you would never know he was gay unless he told you. I've known him for awhile, and have even been over to his house that he shares with 3 roommates for a birthday party.

Anyway, we were talking about movies and such at work, and I mentioned to him that I wanted to see the new Mummy movie, but my girlfriend had no interest in seeing...

Awkward Moments 3 *Possibly NSFW*

By GTzerO 08-07-2008 10:34 AM
Updated by GTzerO 08-07-2008 10:59 AM
I remember posting this in the embarrassing moments thread, but I'll post it here anyway. Possibly NSFW due to language.

A while back my mom caught me watching porn. She said " What are you watching? What is that? ". I cut the porn off and didn't answer. That's not all, the movie had a title over it in big letters that said " Girl raped in mouth, pussy, and ass " ( and I swear to god, if you were to search " Rape " on dump.com you'd see this video ). I don't know if she saw that because I was kinda trying to use my head to block the screen, but it was really weird because I was going at it like crazy before she came in. The part that I was on could probably be considered regular sex. He was just on top of her licking her breasts, but kinda forcefully while she wiggled around a bit.

I also have another similar incident that happened. I was watching this Japanese porno ( the Red Hot Fetish Collection with Miko Hukunaga, but these scenes are a dime a dozen anyway ) and there was a scene where this office lady gets bored and starts masturbating. So, I'm jerking and my mom comes in. I flinched. She says " what?". I angrily tell her to let me know when she's coming in, as it was pretty much obvious there that I was embarrassed. I'm wondering if she didn't know it was porno or not, I mean, the closeup was right there on the crotch of the girl's stockings, but maybe she just wasn't paying attention. Either way, I think she got the idea after I got mad at her.

Those are the only " got caught jerking " moments I can think of. Now my computer is in a room with a lock but everyone can open the lock easily just with their fingernails ( I might be blasting music or asleep when they need something from this room). It takes a few seconds though, and that's enough time for me to put it away and close the window.

Braid Impressions

So after another hectic session with Geometry Wars 2, I decided to jump into Braid (360). I checked out the demo and I was floored by the presentation. I decided to buy the full game cuz this game is just so darn beautiful. Yes, I'm a sucker for eye candy. :P

The game features extremely smooth animations (especially for the main character) and the backgrounds are absolutely gorgeous. Don't judge the game by the screenshots alone, just imagine all those graphics fully animated and full of life. Not only are the graphics beautiful, but the music is equally amazing. It's hard for me to describe what the music sounds like but it's really nice and relaxing. There are also a few familiar tracks which I won't spoil for ya. If you want a taste of what I'm talking about, check out the demo. Everything is well represented there.

For the gameplay, this is definitely a real brain teaser....

[UPDATED] Transformers Star Shia Labeouf Won't Have Finger Amputated

It appears the injury Transformers star Shia Labeouf suffered in the accident a few days ago may force the amputation of his pinky finger. Michael Bay has said that they may work the injury into Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which wouldn't be much of a surprise as they have already altered the shooting to work around his injury. I really hope he does not need to have his finger removed. I feel so bad for him. Get well Shia, you were the only good human in the first movie! Hearing this reminds me of something I think I need to do....

I'd like to take I minute to thank all the soldiers fighting in the war(except for those mother ers who tossed that poor puppy off of a cliff and put a video of it on Youtube). Reading that about Shia got me to thinking how many people half to go through stuff like and worse than that to make sure we don't half to...

Howl's Moving Castle Paper-craft endeavor...

By V4oLDbOY 08-07-2008 03:32 AM
Updated by V4oLDbOY 08-07-2008 09:40 AM

This is what I'm going for...

I recently have been looking for something to keep me busy... other than games of course. So I came across a Totoro paper-craft, not too complicated. Get it Here

Then I came across a paper-craft for Metal Gear Solid here on cag.

I did these early in the morning before I went to work. The reason was that for my particular job, I work on call. By that I mean, I will either be called in from 4:30 am to 8:00 am. But usually its around 5:30-6:00 am, so I have some free time, and I don't really need to play games during that time, plus I cant really get into it since I might need to go any second. So this has worked out fine, I can just put it down whenever I need to.

This is the progress i've made so far in...

OK, I'm here to introduce you to my latest obsession, Mighty Muggs! These are basically 10inch vinyl figures painted to look like certain characters. They don't do much, their head turn, their arms and legs move, and once in a while they come with an add on (i.e. lightsaber)

Right now they have Marvel, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones. The best are Marvels, then Star Wars, and lastly Indy, IMHO. Right now I have so many and I have no plans of stopping! Especially with the news of GI Joe and Transformers ones!

4 new marvel ones just came out Thor, ghost rider, black costume Spiderman, and Doc Ock. I have to say I think Thor and Ghost Rider are 2 of my favorites... till I saw the ones planned for the next wave! Frickin Galactus!

Anyway, you can see I'm obsessed with these little guys and if you wanna know more you can go to http://mightymuggslounge.blogspot.com/ and if you...

give up

By eldergamer 08-07-2008 01:59 AM
I'm really tempted to just quit playing shadow hearts - from the new world and just watch you tube for the ending.

Spent about an hour the other night doing garvoy valley. (the last of my sidequests, as I'm not doing the suishi one, or the ninaj guy's one.).
Unfortunately my party got wiped out undoing what little progress I had made. I don't think I'll be able to level up all status in order to get the good ending, and I may even be under-leveled to defeat the fina boss.

I've put in 40 some hours of game time. Can I really just chuck it all and give up?

UK Rock/Metal Magazines give you a lot of extra stuff.

By MRJESUS925 08-07-2008 01:21 AM
So, my Grandparents come back from their annual trip to the UK and have brought back the usual haul of Flake bars and Fruit Pastilles, as well as a Manchester United jersey (sweet). But then I stumble upon something different in my care package:

The July 19th issue of "Kerrang", as well as the Summer 2008 issue of "Metal Hammer". I'm intrigued. I knew my grandmother knew i was into Heavy Metal, but this is surprisingly thoughtful. She usually brings me a video game magazine, which is useless to me, seeing as all they cover is European fare. But music is not region-locked, so i found delight in comparing what the Brits think is good music to "Ride the Lightning".

Seriously though, the magazines had some nice articles as well as live reviews. But I must say that the amount of free schwag these magazines give you are insane! These two magazines have made me look at our American fare as a rip-off. In America, for $10 you get:...

OK, here's the shirt my GF got except hers is in orange. I know I know, it's friggin awesome. I don't know if these can be found online. She got this one in the Kinokuniya bookstore in SF's Japantown. There is also one with puppies in hand rolls waiting to be eaten, but for some reason that one was disturbing to me. If anyone can find these online please let me know.

[update] ok, I actually looked and found the site. It's www.spicybrown.com. here's the sushi puppies!

Operation Anaconda

By krazy14kraz 08-06-2008 11:47 PM
No, no, no, no. This blog has nothing to do with my anaconda like penis.

This is about the next Medal of Honor game.

So any way the makers of Medal of Honor (I'm guessing) are running out of money and need to sell some games, meaning that, yes, they are modernizing the series.

The game is going to based in 2002 when Operation Anaconda was taking place in Afghanistan. Small details have been released like the detail about how there will be up to 60 custumizible guns in the game. You can read some more about the game on the link.

http://games.tiscali.cz/news/news.asp?id=28742

Well, I'm a big fan of the Medal of Honor series and love WWII games. Its going to be interesting though to see how they do a game in modern times. This also means that there will be some fierce competition between Call of Duty and Brothers in Arms this year.

I can't wait for more details.

Generation Gap

By Rozz 08-06-2008 11:17 PM
Time truly does fly when you're having fun. We're already three years into this generation, and many of the big-name franchises from last generation have received updates. How many of these sequels truly lived up to the hype though? I'm going to take a look at the series upgrades that did it right, as well as the ones that did it wrong.

The sequels that got it wrong:

Grand Theft Auto IV (pictured above):

Hands down the most hyped up release of this generation, Grand Theft Auto IV was a disappointment compared to past series iliterations in nearly every aspect. Liberty City was supposed to feel like a living, breathing metropolis this time around - so why are the NPCs still as dumb as bricks? Also, the single player storyline was clichéd and unoriginal - the whole "immigrant comes to America with great expectations but ends up let down"...
