Halo 4... Good lord I hope Clans returns

I was one of many to have played Halo 2 from it's xbox live launch days. I would play for hours with friends and all was good. We formed a clan (The Fun Time Bunch; because its a funny name and sucks for people when they lost to us). With this clan, Halo became the pinnacle of online gaming.
Now Bungie has always said that they never returned because people hardly ever played them. Seriously? That's your excuse? Do they not realize that MILLIONS more people have access to internet now than when the original Xbox was using Xbox live? Clans are HUGE now and no, sorry, that small clan tag above your name in COD doesnt make you a clan, well ok maybe it can but I want stat tracking, I want clans vs clans in a matchmaking option so I dont have to have my clan face random xbox live opponents. I want to make strategies and fight in online tournaments and all of that stuff. Who is with me? Who here hopes 343 Industries makes it happen? I sure as hell do. Let me know in... |

Graphics over Gameplay...when did this happen?

Ok so maybe that's not really a question, but a mere statement that I'd like to quickly address. As an classic gamer, starting with Atari and NES kind of makes me think differently about video games. Now while most of my close friends started gaming around the same time, others didn't play until SNES/Genesis or even the PS1 days and I've noticed an odd trend.
You see, while I love 3D graphics and all the amazing looking games that come out, it's never ever been something I really cared all that much about when buying or playing a game. Yet some of my friends play a game... and hate it because the graphics aren't up to the standards of other games. My question is this... when did this dynamic change? My most favorite gaming generation is the SNES/Genesis era. It had amazing graphics for it's time, but most importantly of all, the games were amazingly fun and innovative back then, some even by today's standards. While everyone's amazed by the Wii, we had the Super... |

PAX East 2012: Damn I miss it already

PAX was amazing as always this year! I was able to go again as media thanks to my friends and our site www.glitchytasty.com. So this gave me a few perks here and there. First of all, exhibitors were VERY eager to talk to me, especially the Indie companies, and i have to say, there's TONS of awesome Indie Games coming out.
On this weekend I played in 3 tournaments. I got whoope din the 2nd round on Puzzle Fighter 2, I lost in the semi-finals in puzzle bobble, and sadly... I got 2nd place in the PAC-man Championship DX tournament. I had a bad first round but good enouogh to advance, i then killed the next 3 people with 1.9 million+ scores... then choked in the final round. They asked if I wanted to rest (since i had the 2nd semi final match) but i thought the adrenaline would help... it didn't. I was blinking like a madman and my hands were a bit numb feeling. But it was fun as hell. I got to the final by a mere 4000pts in the semi-final which in that game.. that's like 1 ghost... |

Who among you collects video games like myself?

I have been playing video games since age 4 with my dad's Atari 2600. I am now almost 29 in a few months and I own over 2300 video games spanning Atari to Xbox 360. Unfortunately for me I don't know ANYONE else who does this or has this, not people I know and meet in everyday life anyway. So who else out there is addicted to buying video games like myself? Any other proud Virtual Boy or Turbo Grafx 16 owners out there? Anyone else still own games they bought brand new 15+ years ago or still own the Final Fantasy VII Cloud Strife pre-order T-shirt or the Resident Evil 2 pre-order t-shirt?
I just want to see if there are any like-minded people out there with this game collecting interest because I love talking about my collection but it's hard when people don't understand it or care about it other than "wow you have a lot of games" yea, insightful and awesome conversation there. lol |
