What's interesting these days?

By MiNuN 11-10-2009 10:24 PM
As much as I am committed to do my weekly blog, when the weekly Monday comes I have no motivation to write about something! (hell I can not even think of anything!).

BUT!~

Any other days other than Mondays, about 2-3 topics will pop in-to my mind that I would love to blog about, problem is, it is not MONDAY! (Yeah, I love to set schedules for myself), so what I am going to do now is draft blogs, whenever I feel strong about something to blog, I would type it up and save it to draft and release it on Monday!

he he he I am so smart :P (Actually I thought about this before, but I got lazy to put it to motion)

Expect good blogs again?! or at least something I put effort in-to =P...

anyhow, while everybody goes ape-shit about 'Modern Warfare 2'

I am going to post a list of manga I am currently reading, feel free to relate.

The lastest one I picked up is Ibitsu, just for it's creepy setting....

'Club Nintendo' 2009 Platinum Members Gift: Mario's Hat

By MiNuN 10-26-2009 08:45 PM
In the mail last week I have received my gift from Club Nintendo for being a platinum member by the end of the 2009 Nintendo year, this gift is...Mario's hat

The hat is big, I would call it huge, but it loosely fits on the head (no depth) , meaning it can easy fall off if you are running

The hat is puffy enough to remind me of baby Mario rather then good old Mario ;P

I am looking forward to what they have in store for 2010 =)

Ar Tonelico 3. 'It's coming'.

By MiNuN 10-20-2009 08:29 PM
Updated by MiNuN 10-20-2009 10:30 PM

For about a week or two now, the annoucement of a sequel to the Ar Tonelico series was addressed to the Japanese public (I am very confident that this will come over to N.A. & Europe).

Surprising thing for me is...it will be for the Playstation 3. Seeing how #1-2 was for the Playstation 2, I think it would of been fine on the PSP.

The question I want to ask, will it really use the power Playstation 3 has to offer and intergrated into the game? Most anime-style RPGs do not, which makes me feel a bit sad because they will sell it for the same price as any other new PS3 game (HD or not).

Of course, even if they do not, this does it make it any less of an amazing experience of a game, even if it seemed like it was more fitted for the PS2.

Here is the video teaser

My all-nighters weekend

By MiNuN 10-05-2009 09:19 PM
Hey, I know this is not a blog about a game and all...but at least you can get a look in-to my life, a user of the community and perhaps become a friend?

Anyways, this weekend was something of a new or once-in-a-while thing for me and that is why I want to blog about it; maybe I can look back on this in the far future ha ha ha .

Starting with Saturday October 3rd, 2009
I worked 2:30PM to closing, which means I wait for the orders for the customers to stop and close down everything in the kitchen; I work at a 4-diamond/stars restaurant as a Kitchen Helper / Buffet runner, I was able to get out at 11PM

I then went straight to ZONE C of Scotiabank Nuit Blanche; Scotiabank's annual evening to sun-rise art festival within Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Where I volunteer to help out / work under Chef Jamie Kennedy for Tom Dean's exihibition for 12AM - 6AM, which was pretty neat, this exihibition titled 'Sausage & Fire' was about rationing...

Nintendo Week

By MiNuN 09-29-2009 08:26 PM
For all you Wii owners, if you have not noticed yet, the Nintendo Channel has a new look and added a few new things, just a few.

Within the new Nintendo Channel, there is a new series called 'Nintendo Week'

Nintendo Week is a weekly video that are hosted by Allison & Gary.

What Allison & Gary talks about are well... all things Nintendo, mainly about company's pride and joys, Wii & DS.

They talk about latest release & show game-play, some cheesy comedy skits that I find entertaining, exclusive interviews with producers of games for Wii & DS and much more.

They have yet to do sneak peaks in-to future games but I am sure sometime in the future it will become part of the weekly show.

Even though were all core gamers that keeps up with the news within the gaming industry, I believe this weekly series...

Halo: ODST Toronto Training event and hands-on impression

By MiNuN 09-21-2009 11:06 PM

Today I went with two other friends and just recently came back home from the 'Halo 3: ODST Toronto Training'.

http://www.xbox.com/en-CA/Games/spla...t/training.htm

What happened was...wait, before I start, I want to say, my friends and I arrived at the location 15 minutes before the event and yes there was a small line-up of people.

There were two people in 'ODST Army Trainer Uniform' handling the line, the trainers would take turn calling up six people from the line to line-up against the wall.

Told us there was two rules.

Rule #1: Yell HOORAH when called recruit.
Rule #2: Yell SIR YES SIR when asked a question.

After that, people would be able to go in to the building where the windows where covered black so no one could see in-side.

As my friends and I wait in the line, to pass time, they would...

Record of Agarest War

By MiNuN 09-07-2009 11:09 PM

A S-RPG game made by a collaboration between Idea Factory, Red Entertainment and Compile Heart.

http://www.gametrailers.com/video/ja...ecord-of/24120
Link to a video.

I have played quite a few J-RPGs that were released to N.A. and I am very much in to gaming news scene which includes Japanese games, so I can recognize and surely say that Idea Factory and Red Entertainment are very popular RPG companies in Japan (meaning their quality of games are top entertainment), but I have never heard of Compile Heart.

Released in Japan on September 27th, 2007 and a upgraded version for Xbox 360 on November 27th, 2008, Record of Agarest War will come to Europe for the PS3 on October 30th, 2009 and to N.A. as a PSN title on November 9th, 2009.

A few things have caught my attention about the game and I think it is a sure-buy for me.

MiNuN's PS3 Bundle pick-up + Impressions?

NOTE: RE-FRESH THE PAGE IF THE PICTURES ARE 'HUGE' (it means it is still loading, you have to let it load).

When Sony officially announced the world-wide PS3 price-cut, I knew it was my time to finally add a PS3 to my gaming consoles collection (with this, I have every 'TYPE' of this current generation of gaming consoles).

Here I present the pictures from the day I got it and a small story to blog since it was quite the mission to actually get this in to my hands.

Yes, I happen to prefer the Original Style PS3 compared to how the PS3 Slim looks, no hate please .

I also want to say, Thank god I waited! because I felt like I saved a lot of $$$ with this bundle , now let me go in to detail.

The bundle I have bought (from Wal-mart) consist of...

Ever since the big annoucement from Sony regarding the price cut for the Playstation 3, I knew it was my time to get a Playstation 3 to complete my collection of this current generation of gaming consoles!

I will be on this price-cut ASAP, just not ASAP, ha ha ha, I will probably go grab it in a week, if not, 2 weeks maximum. Tough choices though (Canadian prices)

Original 80GB - 299.99
Original 160GB - 399.99
Slim 120 GB- 299.99

I actually like the way the original Playstation 3 looks compared to the slim version, but I am always a sucker for more memory, I find paying an extra $100 for the 160 is not worth my money and that I will be fine with the 299.99 choices. Original or Slim (more memory) tough...but I think I will be going with the Original 80GB and that I will be fine with that amount of memory (Feel free to comment). If the silm had features that differed itself from the original in a huge way, then for sure my choice

Hey...Did I tell you guys?

Oh no, I didn't tell you guys!

...Well

MiNuN went camping from the 14th to the 16th in Pennsylvania.

It was fun =).

It had been a while since I been to America, but it was a good experience none-the-less, especially to get away from the electronics and just stare up at the sky to see the beautiful stars. It was nice.

But, before I reached the camp site, we made a pit stop at Grove City outlets...and I have to say, you Americans have it nice! No tax and Sale on beautiful clothing as well as other items! big time shopping went down there

At the camp site there was a competition of mini-games between 5 teams, 3 teams Americans and 2 teams Canadian My team was from Toronto and the 2nd Canadian team was from Hamilton. We came first and second , Toronto in first of course, ha ha ha.

I just wanted to say, getting out, was an excellent idea, just kind...

- Are you going to be involved in the soundtrack for Kingdom Hearts III?

Utada: I don’t think so, I don’t know. Probably not.
Mr. Utada: We said no to Disney.
Utada: Ohh…

-You turned down Disney?

Mr. Utada: Yeah. Because they don’t pay.

-Because they don’t pay, yeah. My parents work for Disney World, so I’m sure they’d be in agreement with you on that.

Utada: They can have a drink over that [all laugh].

-Okay, so going back a little bit, the fact that Exodus was released in English also in Japan, was that a conscious decision? Was there ever any pressure either on your label over there, or from other people to say, “Well, if you do Japanese versions of these songs, they’ll be so much more accessible, many more people will get to that?”

Utada: Uh-huh. Well, from the beginning, yeah…before doing that contract, I’d done a few songs where I had to translate,

To Anime/Manga/Blazblue lovers-alike only

My apologies guys, ever since I picked up BlazBlue, that's all I want to blog about, ha ha ha. (seriously...)

Anyways, I just recently 100% Noel's story and...one of the arc was about Litchi dressing up Noel in weird costumes...this is simply the best

Now, for a proper reason why I want to blog on my every little discovery I find in BlazBlue...simply because it is like an actual anime series, even though it is a game, in a format of a light-novel? with few cut-scenes of animation...ha ha ha, I am still impressed by how much content it has =P

- MiNuN; BlazBlue all day every-day
